Narat’s POV The bed felt so comfortable that I really did not want to get up anytime soon. I had not felt this relaxed in a long time. Wait a second. Why did my bed have a heartbeat? Why did it hold me? I opened my eyes slowly. HUH!! Why was I in Kasit’s arms? He cuddled me like I was his lover. I got up immediately. “What are you doing on the bed with me, you pervert!!!” “I will call you back later, nagging wife I ended up with.” He ended the FaceTime call. “Good morning, hubby!!” He looked at me and reached out. I knew he had naughty plans. I slapped him hard across the face. “Get away from me, you asshole!!” He laughed and touched his cheek. “I must be crazy right now… YOU!!!” His voice dropped. His eyes turned dead cold. He looked scary. He pulled me back down with force. This time he was on top. He pinned both my hands above my head with one hand. “Let me go, you jerk! You are trying to force yourself on me, but it will not work.” “Are you serious? Do you think I am a rapist?” “Yes, that is exactly what you are!!!” I could not believe he tried this after I agreed to the marriage. He had no right. “You snuck into my bed overnight just to force yourself on me.” He stared at me like I was a ghost. “You pretend so well, Narat. Yes, I tried to have my way with you because I got horny. Is there a problem with that?” His grip tightened a little. “Let me go this instant, you asshole.” “But I am just getting started.” His free hand slid down. It slipped under the waistband of my undies. His fingers touched my dick…..warm and deliberate. He wrapped his hand around it slowly from base to tip. His thumb grazed the head in one lazy stroke. I opened my mouth to curse him again. A loud moan came out instead. “Ohh… hum!!” He leaned close. His breath felt hot against my ear. “Now you know who is in charge.” His hand moved again……slow pull down, then up. The grip stayed firm but calm. My hips twitched against my will. He paused. His thumb circled the tip once more. It spread the wetness there. Another long, teasing stroke. My breath caught. My body betrayed me. Then he stopped. He let go completely. He pulled his hand out. “Let’s get ready for breakfast, pretty mouth.” He released my wrists and got off the bed. He acted casual like nothing happened. I tried to catch my breath. My chest heaved. What just happened? Did I really melt under his touch? I am straight. I should not enjoy anything he does. “To hell with your breakfast. I am out of here.” * In my sister's hospital ward, I held her hands, tears streaming down my face as I stared at her still comatose form. Anna's words echoed in my head: “Last night her ammonia levels spiked dangerously again. The doctors said the brain edema was worsening, and she was at risk of never waking up. They rushed her into emergency liver transplant surgery, but I was afraid to tell you the full details so you wouldn't have a panic attack. The good news is we found a donor match in time. It was the only way to stop the poison building in her system... but I worry just like you. It's been a year already since she has been in coma, and yet, she's still not responding. The bills are already in the millions, and we're drowning. I'll keep trying harder, look for more jobs to help you. Your sister is important to me too!” “Chutima!!” I called her name, my heart breaking. “Please wake up! Don't leave me like our parents did. You are the only one I have left. I promise to make money and take care of you, so please wake up already.” I bowed my head close to hers, still holding her fragile little fingers. She is all I have. My sister Chutima has adult-onset type II citrullinemia, also called Citrin deficiency. It struck suddenly when she turned twenty, causing hyperammonemic encephalopathy. The high ammonia poisoned her brain and plunged her into this coma that has lasted a full year now. When will she open her eyes again? When will I hear her tiny, cute voice calling me to say breakfast is ready? I stayed with her for a long time before I went to meet the doctor. I begged him to give me more time. I will clear all the bills now that I have Kasit. “When were you going to tell me you have a boyfriend?” “HUH!!” I pointed at myself, completely confused. “Stop playing dumb with me. Your phone kept ringing nonstop, so I decided to answer it.” She had picked up Kasit’s call. What do I do now? I can’t lie to her. How on earth am I going to tell her I married him just last night? “Narat, you are hiding a lot from me. You never told me you were into men. Guess I really don’t know you after all.” She frowned, arms crossed. “Okay, I will tell you, but let me clear the record first….I am not into men. Remember that morning I came home with love bites all over?” She stayed calm, eyes wide open, waiting for the rest. “Turns out he is my CEO at the new company where I got accepted to work. But it was just a mistake, nothing more.” I left out the marriage part for now. “Anna!! Why is your mouth still open? Are you okay?” Her expression looked weird. “Who would believe I get to witness a BL series in real life?” “YOU ARE INSANE!! I’m going to get something to eat.” “Wait……..tell me more please! Is he hot? Strong…?” * My first day at work, and I woke up really late after falling asleep in the kitchen. I rushed to catch a taxi and prayed silently that Kasit would not arrive at the company before me. According to the email about my role as his executive assistant, I needed to get there early, prepare his coffee, and have everything ready. When I arrived, the lady I met during my interview whispered, “You are so dead!! Our boss is really angry. Better make his coffee fast.” I nodded quickly and hurried to prepare it. I rushed out of the break room toward his office when I collided hard with a woman, spilling the hot coffee all over her dress. This was a total mess on my first day. “I’m so sorry, miss! I swear I didn’t mean—” Before I could finish, she slapped me hard across the face. The sting shocked me silently. “How dare you ruin my dress my lover Kasit got for me!? I will kill you!!” She slapped me again, even harder.Chapter 35Narat’s POVI boarded a taxi immediately without looking back. I couldn’t stay in a place that hurt me this much. Why did he have to believe her? Why?Is it because he still cares for her deep down?I must have been so foolish, letting my guard down for these stupid new feelings.I should never have changed for someone like him.Sometimes I wonder…..why marry me secretly in the first place? What was the point?I will find other ways to get the money to clear all my debts, then request a divorce. There won’t be any need to make him hate me anymore because he will no longer see me. All I have to do now is send him money every month.I am done with him.I didn’t go home. Instead, I headed straight to Teer’s bar.“Narat!” His eyes filled with worry the second he saw me. He rushed over immediately. “What happened? You know what, save your strength. Let me tend to your wound first. Just sit here and wait.” He added quickly and hurried to grab his first aid kit while I sank into on
Chapter 34Narat’s POVI overheard some of the workers talking about me as I passed by the break area.“I heard he’s trying to break the boss’s relationship with Miss Darika.”“He just got a cute face and nothing more. Something definitely is going on.”“Just a matter of time, the truth will come out.”I forced a quick “hello” to them before heading straight to my desk. At least there were no rumors about our contract marriage yet. And Darika hadn’t really looked my way since that day. I guess I was finally free.I decided to check Kasit’s schedule. His mom had fixed it, and I’d been warned never to tamper with anything she scheduled. My eyes widened seeing most of the meetings and dates lined up with Darika. Does this mean he’ll be spending even more time with her now?Well, it’s really not my concern at all. At least I’m already gaining so much from Kasit. The building on the land has already commenced, and I changed my mind……I want to build a proper house instead and buy the café I
Chapter 33Narat’s POVThe next morning, I woke up to an empty bed. Kasit was gone.Don’t tell me this time he called his friend to watch over me again? I’m already getting better.I climbed out of bed and shuffled to the living room, where I found a note lying next to my phone.Did he actually go back to the warehouse to get my phone for me? I remember it slipping from my hand that night. I picked up the note and read,“I made you breakfast very early. Make sure you don’t skip it at all. I poured my heart into this and gave it everything I’ve got. You should be proud, you’re the first person I’ve ever cooked for.”There he goes again, acting all proud of himself.“Get some rest after eating. I already informed the others you’re taking the day off. Take good care of yourself, my little bunny. Call if you miss me.”I will never call him. I don’t miss him.I lied to myself. My cheeks burned as I headed to the dining table to see what he’d apparently spent decades cooking. I hoped he hadn
Chapter 32Kasit’s POV Kasit’s POVI gently took my seat, feeling so uncomfortable.mostly because of the way Narat was staring at me. I’m sure if he’d been handed a gun right then, he would’ve pulled the trigger without a second thought.“OMG! This is so good,” Sophia squealed with excitement, scooping up another full spoonful of food to feed me. I noticed how Narat angrily slammed his fork down on the plate.“Thanks for the food.” Narat stood up abruptly and stormed off toward the bedroom, his steps heavy with fury.“Why is he going into your bedroom? Do you let your friends sleep there?” Sophia asked, looking genuinely surprised.“You need to leave, Sophia.”“Why? I planned on spending the night with you…” She reached for my lap, rubbing it slowly—just as Narat stepped back out and saw everything. I had no idea he would come back so soon, but I never had any intention of doing anything with her anyway. He rushed back in, eyes blazing.“Stop!!” I slapped her hand away hard.“Come on
Chapter 31 Narat’s POVWhy am I feeling so jealous about this? Kasit and I are not even a thing. And we will never be a thing… never…My inner voice cut in sharply. “But you two have been intimate for quite some time now. Doesn’t that count as being a couple?”“Hell no!!! The sex just happened because he caused it.”“Says the one who made the first move to kiss him on that empty land space… He wanted to stop, but you pulled him back in and made him continue. That means you both are basically a couple already. So what more do you need to make it official when you’re officially married?”“It’s just a contract marriage! And I kissed him because I was too excited about becoming a landowner.”I argued with myself fiercely. The war raging inside my head was driving me completely insane, twisting my thoughts into knots.I felt a hand land gently on my shoulder.“What is it?” I yelled, snapping without meaning to.Oh. Thawan. Why did I raise my voice at him like that?“I’m sorry,” I muttered
Chapter 30Narat’s POV“Happy birthday to you… Happy birthday to you… Happy birthday dear Narat… Happy birthday to you.” My parents, along with my sister, sang the birthday song for me.I let out a beautiful smile.“Thank you so much, everyone.” I jumped into their arms for a big hug.“So are you ready to see what we have prepared for you?” Dad asked with a warm smile.I nodded eagerly, a big smile plastered on my face.“Good boy. Just wait a little,” Dad added.“I need to prepare something delicious since it’s my only son’s birthday,” Mom said, and I hugged her again tightly.“Mom, let me assist you in the kitchen today.”“Oh my dear son…” She squatted to my level and caressed my hair nonstop. “I know how much you love to help out in the kitchen. I’m even certain your sister won’t ever go hungry having a brother who’s such a good cook. But today is your birthday, you are not allowed to assist.”“But I really want to help out, Mom.”“After your birthday. For now, go play with your sist
