"What do you want?"I asked the beautiful lady who's before me with a cute smile on her face.
"I want to see you,"she said calmly, and I looked at her with a confused look.
"I need your help,"she added, and I arched a brow at her.
"About what?"I asked as I stood up from the bed.
I wonder what her real intention was. She only introduces herself as the mistress of the Alpha.
I crossed my arm under my chest as I stared at her.
"Can you help me with the tips on how to handle the Alpha on the bed? I'm sure you must have use some unknown skill for him to decide to make you the Luna of the pack,"
"Since I can't become the Luna of the pack, but it's not impossible to share the Alpha with the Luna in the future, right? After all, the Alpha isn't a single minded person,"she said, with a naughty smile on her face.
I looked at her with a disgusted look on my face. I actually thought that she was here for a better thing, but I never knew that she's here for a tip on having sex with the Alpha.
I'm not only disgusted by the humiliation of Lady Suzy, but I'm worried about my fate with the Alpha. After this night, I'm going to become the Luna of the pack and there's no way to leave the pack again.
I decided to use her interest in the Luna position to my advantage. But how am I going to do that? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it. I smiled inwardly as an idea popped into my head. I just hope it works out for her.
"Why aren't you saying anything? Or do you want to keep the secret to yourself and enjoy the Alpha alone?"she asked, and I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Oh! I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, Suzy, right?"I asked, and she nodded her head with a frown on her face.
"I don't think it's necessary to give you tips that won't help you. I've something that would make you happy forever,"I paused as I tried to put my words into details so that she would be able to believe.
I've to shoot my shot right now because she's my only chance of leaving the pack, and running from the Alpha.
"So what is it?"she asked as she flaunted her hair.
"How about you become the Luna of the pack instead?"I asked, and she looked at me with a surprised look on her face.
"What do you mean? The Luna of the pack?"she bombarded me with questions. It's obvious that she's interested in the Luna position.
No one wouldn't want to be the leader of the pack, especially for one of the strongest packs, but mine is complicated so I can't possibly give in to it or accept it. So sad.
I can't be the Luna of a murderer who killed my loved ones.
"Yes I can make you the Luna of the pack. Not like I'm interested in the position anyway,"I said, and scoffed loudly.
"What? You don't want to be the Luna of the pack which everyone is wishing to become, especially me,"she said with an unbelievable look on her face.
I wasn't expecting her to believe it because it's hard to believe that someone could reject the offer of being the Luna of the Red Moon pack— the strongest and overrated pack all over the wolf region.
"Yes I don't want to become the Luna of the pack and if there's any chance I wouldn't hesitate to leave immediately,"I said, and she looked at me again.
"What do you think you're saying? You don't want to become the Luna of the pack?"she said more like a question, and I groaned out with a frustrated look on my face.
How am I going to make her believe me? I ruffled my hair, trying to bring up every single idea in my head. It's going to be harder like I'd expected.
"I'm serious. I wouldn't joke with something as serious as this. I just need your help,"I said, looking at her with a pleading look.
"Well the advice that I've for you is that the only way of attracting the Alpha is to play cat and mouse,"she said, ignoring my words like it wasn't something she should think about.
I called her back as she made to walk out of the room. I can't let this opportunity pass by.
"Please come back. These words are from the bottom of my heart. Please just try to believe me,"I said, staring at her with a sad and pleading look. She looked hesitant for a while before giving.
"Okay but how do you want me to believe you?"she asked.
I decided to explain everything to her even though I wouldn't include the part that he's the reason for the death of his sister since I'm yet to get any evidence.
"Oh! That's bad. I now know the reason why you choose not to become the Luna of the pack,"she muttered with a sigh as I explained everything to her in detail even though I neglected some parts.
"Yes, that's why I want to leave the pack. I don't want the Luna title,"I said.
"Though I've heard the story, I'm yet to believe that you want to leave the Luna position just like that,"she said, and I shook my head.
What can I say to this lady to make her believe me right now? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it.
"I would like to take my leave,"she said as she made her way toward the door.
I made a statement which made her stop midway.
"You might as well give me a chance to have a try to prove to you,"I said loudly, and she arched a brow at me.
"What kind of proof do you want to show?"she asked.
I stood transfixed to the floor, my hand stroking on my chin as I thought of the person who's the only one that could save me.
"Please can you help me contact a friend of mine who is the only person that I think could help me?"I asked, and she nodded her head gently.
Brian is the only person who can help me in this type of situation. He's my friend that I really trust. He works in the newspaper office as the editor-in-chief. We were partners because I also worked in the same workplace before I got kidnaped.
"Okay take,"she said, and stretched her phone at me. I collected it quickly before typing his number on her phone. I'm glad that I know his number in my head.
"Brian. This is Aurelia. I'm in trouble,"I said as he picked the call.
"Hello ma'am… Mr Brian isn't present in the office. He had just boarded a plane to his friend's wedding,"she said, and I hung up on the call with a sad look on my face.
I returned her phone with a sad look on my face.
"I'll take my leave,"she said, and walked away.
"What am I going to do? He's my last hope,"
"Why does fate have to be cruel to me?"
Does that mean that I'm going to get married to the Alpha, the murderer in disguise? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it.
Why does my life have to be unfortunate?
Natalie "So how do you want me to help you since the so-called guy isn't available?"Lady Suzy asked with her arm crossed under her breasts. I stared at her with a sad and weak look on my face. I don't know what to do or say. Tomorrow is the day of our wedding when I will get married to the man that I've always hated, and run away from in my entire life. I wonder why the moon goddess has to make him capture me. It seems fate is against me. "Please help me. I don't want to become his wife and Luna,"I pleaded, looking at her with a sad look. She looked away, averting my gaze. "What do you expect me to do? That's the only help I think I can render to you,"she said, and I shook my head with a sigh. What am I going to do? I thought sadly as I watched Lady Suzy make her way toward the door. I rushed toward her, grabbed the hem of her red rose long gown. She turned back, staring at me with a cold look on her face. "What do you want this time?"she asked with a cold look on her fa
Natalie "What did… you just say?"I stammered, and she scoffed. "I'm sure you're not deaf,"she said, glaring at me with a cold and dangerous look. I know becoming a Luna or bethroned to the Alpha would be something very hard and difficult for me. I haven't become the Luna of the pack but I'm being hated by the maids. I'm sure they're jealous even though they weren't aware that I'm not interested in becoming their Luna. I wonder how my stay in this pack as Luna is going to be, because I've a weird feeling that I won't be able to escape from him. I just have to accept my fate. "Hey,"I called. "You'd better attend to the Alpha before he gets angry at you,"she said, ignoring my statement. "Tell him that I wouldn't come and there's nothing he can do about it"I snapped at her angrily, but she didn't bother to look at me, instead she hissed and walked out of my room, slamming the door shut. Ahh… I screamed out as I ruffled my hair angrily like a mad person. I clenched my fist
Natalie "What are you doing here?"Lady Suzy asked, clearing the tension in the room. I gulped down into nothing as I stared at the guard, who glanced at us with an intense gaze. "Were you stalking us?"she asked, and he nodded his head affirmatively. "I don't have a choice, my lady,"he said, and my eyes widened in shock. What! He was stalking us? Does that mean he'd listened to my conversation with Lady Suzy? "Why would you just do such a thing? I'm going to make sure you get punished,"she threatened. "I was only following instructions that the Alpha gave to me,"he said, and I shook my head with a sigh. "I'd like you to return to your room,"he said as he turned his gaze to me. I snapped out of my thoughts, and looked at him with a cold look, trying to look strong. "You can't order me around. I can do whatever I want,"I said, glaring at him, and he scoffed. "It's the order of the Alpha so I'd like you to obey me,"he said as he stepped backward, gesturing to me to wal
Natalie "Wow! You look so pretty," "She look so dead drop gorgeous," "I'm sure the Alpha wouldn't be able to take his eyes from her," I wasn't surprised that the maids were slowly interacting with me. Maybe because they think I'm going to be the Luna tonight, and the Alpha wouldn't want anyone to abuse his Luna in any way. Not like I'm interested in the title. I shook my head with a sigh, trying my best to mask the sad expression that mounted on my face as I listened to the compliments from the maid. I should be happy hearing such compliments but I'm sad that I'm not getting engaged to the supposed man of my heart and dream, but a ruthless Alpha that I'm supposed to run away from. Though I try to act strong but I can't withhold the pain that stings my heart. It's really painful and sad to me. I snapped out of my thoughts as a loud bang landed at the door. My heart flew out for a second in fear. I tilted my head in confusion, same with the maids. "It's time already," "The
Natalie "Ahh…" My heart skipped in fear, and I screamed out in pain as my feet tripped over a log of wood. I let out a sigh of relief as I stared at Brian, who caught me by my waist firmly before I could fall. "You should be careful from now on. We still have a long way to go,"he said with a worried look on his face, and I nodded my head gently. "Thank you,"I muttered as I moved away from her grip. I clenched to the hem of my clothes, breathing heavily with my heart pounding heavily against its cage. "Please don't be tired. We still have a long way to go,"he said as he placed his hand on my forehead. I shook my head negatively with a sigh. "To be sincere with you, I'm really tired,"I said as I bent low, breathing heavily with my body drenched with sweat. We've been running for more than three hours, and we haven't gotten to where we're heading to. We couldn't use our wolf speed or form because it would make it easier for the Alpha to track our scents which isn't what I wa
Ryan "It's the time,"I said calmly as I stretched my hand at Aurelia, who was seated on the chair with a red wine veil pulled over her face. I let out a soft smile from my lips as she obediently held my hand. Her hand felt stronger than it used to feel. With our hands crooked, we both walked up to the priest, who's standing in front of a log of burning fire. He was chanting some incantation around the fire as he awaited our presence. "Please move this way,"the priest said, separating us from each other. We stood at the front of each other even though the burning fire was between us. "Please recite after me,"the priest said as he poured some substance like sand into the burning fire. "Ye moon goddess…"he called out, and I recited after him. I stared at Aurelia with a confused look as she recited after the priest without missing any single words, and she wasn't acting reluctant. What's wrong? I couldn't help but ask myself because of her sudden change of attitude which seems
Natalie "Hey, take this and put it on,"I felt a sting of pain in my heart as he dropped the wedding gown on the floor before me with a cold look on his face. "Why are you still staring at me? Or do you want me to put it on for you?"he asked in an angry tone even with a seductive smile, beaming on his face. I reached out to the white wedding gown on the floor, clenched it to my chest with a sad look on my face. Beads of tears rolled down from my eyes as I stared at wedding clothes in my hand. I never had thought that I'm still going to put on these clothes again. I'd thought I escaped from him, and I wouldn't get married to him but he caught me. Now I'm going to get married to the man that I'm supposed to run away from, a heartless and ruthless man. Why are you doing this to me, moon goddess? Why me? I questioned myself as I stared at the ceiling. "Can you… excuse me…"I shuttered, and he scoffed. "So that you can escape from the pack with the same guy, right?"he asked wit
Natalie I snapped out of my thoughts, looking up in an instant as a knock landed at the door. "Come in,"I muttered with a sigh as I ruffled my hair with a frustrated look even though I tried as much as possible to mask my expression. "What is it?"I asked with a cold and cracked voice as I stared at the maid in blue uniform, who walked in with a bow. "I'd come to ask what you would like to eat. Or do you want to have breakfast with the Alpha, my lady?"I glared at the maid, took a deep breath, trying my best to control my anger at the moment. I'm getting used to the so-called *my lady* greetings. I wish there's something I could do about it but it seems there isn't. I'm their Luna. As much as I don't want to be their Luna, I've been made the Luna, and there's nothing I can do about it because I'm tied to the Alpha. "No! I don't want anything. I don't want to eat with anyone,"I said, almost yelling. "But my lady…" "Get out,"I yelled out, and she flinched back in fear. She wal
