Victory At Last

"Doctor," I called repeatedly as I walked into the hospital with Natalie in my arms. She looked pale and lifeless but I don't want to believe that she'd died.

How could she die when she knows that I need her at this moment? I asked myself but I couldn't get an answer to it.

"Where is the doctor?" I asked the nurse who rushed toward me and pushed the stretcher forward.

I placed Natalia gently on the stretcher and pushed her hurriedly to the ICU. I looked up as the door pulled open and the doctor walked in with a stethoscope hung around his neck.

"This is the patient sir," the nurse explained, and he walked closer to her.

He placed the stethoscope on her chest.

"Get the oxygen machine to this ward right away," he ordered, and the maid rushed out of the ICU ward.

Within two minutes, she returned with a machine that was beeping. He took a material like a nose mask and wore it on her nose. That must be the oxygen. I watched as the system beeped.

"Please you'll have to excuse us
