Chris answered the door, surprised to see unfamiliar faces looking at him expectantly. Confused, he tried to make sure his expression wasn’t showing them anything else other than puzzlement.
“May I help you?”
After helping the misdirected people, Chris held everything in him not to curse out loud. It was clear as day, that he was pissed beyond reason for the unwanted interruption, but alas, he was confused as to why he felt the way he did.
“Who was at the door?” jumping off the bed, she asked and stood in front of Chris. Her almost childlike expression and the innocent question made him pause and blink, unsure why his heart hammered as if she had done something grand. ”Just like a baby bunny,” oddly enough, his bad mood disappeared suddenly when he saw that.
