"You look beautiful."
Evander tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and stepped back to look at her again. She smiled.
"I can't believe you're going out like this. Someone may kidnap you or...or..you know."
She laughed, humorlessly. The only one who's dangerous here is me.
"Stop, its okay. I will be back really soon."
She had received a text earlier and the men she had asked for were already at their rendezvous point.
"Are you sure you don't want me to come along?"
His hands were on both her shoulders. As usual, he was wearing white from head to toe, with his silver ring and blonde hair.
"I will be okay."
He nodded, not quite letting her go. She moved away, putting some distance between them, then turned to the bed to get her phone. She stood straight as he hugged her from behind.
"I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling about this."
Her heart was beating wildly in her chest, as she knew he wasn't wrong. He just didn’t know that she was the problem.
"I don't want to let you go anywhere."
He was burying his nose in her neck now, sniffing. Lifting up his head a bit, he traced his nose up her neck, to her ear. "I love you, Bella." He whispered.
"Please be safe for me. I wasn't joking about you being my delta. I love you."
His eyes were closed, just holding her, savoring it.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Pathetic."
She closed her eyes. Her wolf was at it again.
" he doesn't know what's coming."
Her wolf said and withdrew, leaving her, standing, feeling his warmth, hearing him tell her he loves her.
"U hmm....Evander, I better go so I can come back early, right?"
She turned, to meet his eyes and they were filled with tears. He was just looking at her.
"Evander...I’m not going out to die"
"Take care of yourself."
He said simply. She could see he was too sad to argue, and she wondered how he would look like when she brought back her soldiers to destroy his pack. He cupped her face, bringing her back to reality. He leaned in closer, till they could feel each others soft breaths, before slowly, while looking into her green eyes with his tear filled silver ones, he kissed her. The kiss was one that spoke more that he had ever told her, spoke in more ways that she had ever known. She closed her eyes just as she saw his close, tears rolling down his cheek.
"Stay safe, please."
He said after she broke the kiss. He was looking at her, then wiped his tears and smiled.
"Let me do your shoe laces for you."
He bent to his knee and tied them, then patted the top of her feet. Hugging her again, he held her arms to see her off outside, where she would be completing the rest of the journey on her own, solely for his doom.
"Where is she going to? And why do you look like that?"
Alec was by his side, and so was Jake.
"I really love her, Alec."
"What about your mate?"
Jake said, before Alec could reply.
"I want Bella."
He said again, still staring off into the distance where she had left.
"I don’t like her. She isn't what she claims to be."
Evander looked at him for a moment.
"I know. She is beautiful enough to kill...I love her, and she will have to break this heart to pieces first. Although each piece will carry a reflection of her, it just might help."
He left them, standing there.
"Don't badmouth her in front of him. You know he never was this emotionally attached to anyone apart from his parents....and brother. Now that he has none of them, he found her. At least, be considerate and let him love her."
Jake said with a sort of finality in his tone, and left Alec brooding.
The powerful delta of the terrorist pack, split moon stood, with her red cape around her neck, flowing down to the ground behind her. She had left all conscience, all love when she stepped out of the pack. The only thing she couldn't get out of her mind was Evander. The way he smiled at her, the way he talked to her, the way he took care of her, the way he hugged her, the way he kissed her. It wasn't her first or second, hell it wasn't even in the first 100. But not was the only one that spiked her humanity, her emotions. So she hated it. She cleaned her lips and stood in front of the men she had brought, with full authority.
"our target is full moon."
She said and ignored the murmurs and gasps. She had expected it.
" we will walk in on them in two hours. Get ready. We are going to conquer..."
She let her voice trail off as the men completed her sentence.
"No matter what!"
She nodded.
"Now train, down to the last minute."
She sat on a nearby log and watched them, but soon her mind was with Evander. The way he had repeatedly told her he loved her. Would he still be wearing white when she attacks? How will he look at her? Will he cry the way he has this morning, not caring about the man stereotype?
"I love you, Bella...."
She shook her head. She had to get him out. Standing up, she called their attention.
"You can slay anyone in your way, except their alpha. He is mine."
She held up a picture of him, one she had taken that morning, before he woke up. They echoed understanding, before going back to train.
Evander was standing by the balcony of his office, staring at the sky. He closed his eyes a bit, before opening them. This time, his eyes came wide, his breath hitching. Bella.
"Its been two hours. Let's match."
It was a short distance to cover and once they stood in front of full moon, she held her sword up, and said in her loudest voice.
"ATTACK!"
"Alec! Alec!!! Hey!"Evander was running towards Alec, who was standing at the front of the gate, just where he and Jake had left him."Alec! I know you are angry, but come in. Someone is coming for us."He could only see him, and was running to him, his mind too clouded to make sense of the chaos around him. He was just in time to see three bullets penetrate Alec. Alec fell to his knees, not quite dead, and he saw his head severe from his body. Evander almost passedout. He saw more people running towards him, and away from where he stood, he saw about five men pouring what seemed to be petroleum on the houses, setting them on fire. It all happened so fast, it seemed to him like he was in a 3D film."Evander, get out of here. Even if we all die, we still need you."Jake was holding his hand, running, before they both tripped, hitting the ground, tears filling Evander's eyes. His hands were wrapped around J
"Jake, Alec. Take her to the punishment room. Just leave when you are done. I want to be alone."Evander's voice was so low, they could hardly hear. Jake and Alec looked at each other. They didn’t have a punishment room. Only a correction room, and that was where they left her. Alec glared as he kept her on the available seat, pointing at her with a flashlight. The room was entirely dark, except for his light. She glared back."You have the guts to glare at me, You..""Alec, lets leave."Jake said, holding his hand. Alec fought it out of his grip."She killed all of us, Jake. She killed us, burnt down our houses, she betrayed our Alpha. You just want to let her be? You know Evander. He wont ever do anything to her. He's hurting, all because of her, and he wont ever retaliate."Jake sighed."We are full moon. We are peaceful, we are serenity. We are unity, we are harmony. We are love and trust and virtue. We are forgi
"Jake, where is he?"He looked solemn."Alpha Evander needs his time alone."He kept the food on the bedside table and turned."And the chocolate? Ice cream? Every night, you drop them here."He shook his head and turned to face her."I don't. What? Do you care now?""What are you saying?"He chuckled darkly and sat on the floor, close to the bed."Have you ever, throughout your two weeks here, thought about howthings would be, if Evander didn't possess the gift he had? We would all be dead. You would go back to your pack as the powerful delta who conquered the one pack no one has ever attacked. Evander would be dead too. He would rather commit suicide than watch his pack members die. Do you know what brought us back? The love he has for us. You betrayed that love. You took his transparent glass heart,"he took out a glass figurine from the bedside."And you smashed it on the w
"An official letter from the alpha of split moon, Alpha Cole Richardson, to the Alpha of full moon, Alpha Evander Merchant."He stopped a bit and the stenographer scribbled fast. That was the way of the packs in the three moons wolf country. They always used letters for official purposes."The recent attempt to attack the full moon pack by my delta, Delta Isabella Cullen, has been without my prior consent. It is not hidden from you that her erratic actions has caused us the loss of twenty soldiers, who has served this pack with so much dedication whilethey were alive. You can, as your offender, do what you see fit, but as my and my pack's criminal, she is hereby, banished from this pack. She is to never step foot in this pack and if she does, she can be killed on sight. This is my final judgment, by the power vested on me as Alpha of the split moon, chosen and anointed by the moon goddess to lead my pack to prosperity."He finished, a glint of pride in his
"You are too weak. You need to strengthen your defense."The martial arts instructor said, touching his hands to strengthen his form. Evander groaned in frustration."I'm sorry, Alpha."He looked at him."Let's take a break."Evander said calmly. The other man nodded and exited the plain room, leaving Evander sitting on the floor, his eyes stinging with emotions that ran deeper than the eyes could see, much closer and as associated to a strong, black haired, green eyed delta."Evander."He froze, recognizing the voice to belong to the woman who made his heart strings stretch."Why are you here?"She came in front of him. She was wearing the exact style of clothes she had worn when she had attacked him, except the red cape."You're training?""Leave. This is none of your business."She held his arm."Let me train you. No one can do it
"What happened to him? You tried to kill him again, didn’t you?""Alec""what?”“ She tried before."Isabella didn't answer, she was carrying Evander on her back, taking him to her room."U hmm..Isabella, give him to me. He must be heavy."She shook her head."I can handle it""give him to us. Why are you taking him to your room?""Because i want to."She completed the flight of stairs and entered the room, closing it behind her."You seriously let her carry him? What if something happens?""She will take care of him, Alec. I'm sure you know that.”Alec scoffed."But what do you think happened toEvander? He was bleeding from his head.""He will heal. You know that."Alec sighed."Let's go. I need to take care of the oldie's transport to new moon against the time he will regain consci
The sound of shattered glasses reached her ear as she stood in front of the closed door of his office. She didn't attempt to go in or stop him. He had to let it out. This was the first time he ever did something like this, and she had to allow him. Things reeled in her mind. She was part of the problem. She was one of those people who he loved and had hurt him. She had taken advantage of his kindness too. She fell to her knees, all the things she had buried deep inside, overflowing. How could she do this? How could she hurt the only person who ever ignited and emotion in her so bad?She remembered the way he fell when he heard thegunshots. She remembered the way he looked at her when she touched his cheek and called him weak. She allowed herself to go down on her knees."Evander. I'm...I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. Please...please forgive me."She mumbled, her hands clasped to her face, her mouth open, trying to stop her tears. Why did she hurt
She fell asleep by his side, patting his forehead, before the grogginess of sleep made her drop the hand to her side."Hi."The moon was behind her, and her hair was flying with the wind. She was biting her lower lip, and there was a slight sadness in her eyes."You still haven't found me, Evander. I'm hurt"He was standing, his blonde hair covering his eyes as the strands flew with the wind."I am your mate, Evander. Please find me."He looked at her, his heart besting fast"what's your name?"She smiled and turned, and suddenly she was nowhere. The moon was bluish and bright and he stood alone, the wind and her stronglavender scent hitting him with every breath he took.Isabella woke up, her eyes blurred from sleep and she saw him still sleeping peacefully. So peacefully he was hardly breathing. She stood up and went to get water, took a glass and dropped some on the bedside just in case he would want
