Chapter 9 "Female Human"

Mikhail’s POV

With Gregor's guidance, Yuri and I were ushered to the Alpha’s house. The male werewolves of the Pack kept on following us from behind as if they were looking for an opportunity to snatch Yuri away from me.

I was making sure no one touched her, not even the strand of her hair.

“Mikhail,” Yuri whispered.

I turned to look at her, my eyes scanning her face for any signs of fear or fear.

She had displayed a frightened expression earlier when she saw me growl, but now, Yuri seemed to have regained her composure and was no longer wary of me.

"Where are we going?" she asked.

I leaned closer to her, my nostrils flaring as I caught a whiff of her sweet scent. It distracted me for a moment, but I quickly regained my focus and answered her question.

"To the Alpha's house," I said.

"Alpha?" Yuri repeated, her brow furrowing in confusion. "I didn't ask you about that. I know the meaning of Alpha in literature, but I have no idea what an Alpha means in werewolves. My friends might kn
