Chapter 125 "Fated"

Third Person's POV

The guard assigned to watch over Yuri's room received instructions to search the garage as Megan had possibly dropped her wallet there. Despite his efforts, he was unable to locate the missing item. Disappointed, he made his way back into the grand mansion, intending to inform Megan about his unsuccessful search.

"Did she really leave her wallet there?" he murmured while walking in the middle of the dark hallway.

His footsteps, however, stopped when he heard a peculiar sound emanating from the darkness. He turned around to investigate the source of the noise.

"Who's there?" he called out, his voice echoing through the empty corridor.

Silence. No response came, and no figure emerged from the shadows.
