Chapter 12

Brat

A series of knocks wakes me up from my deep sleep. I drag myself towards the door and swing it open. A lady in uniform is standing behind the door with a smile.

“Good morning, ma’am Brii. Sir Dave asked me to wake you up. Breakfast is ready downstairs.”

“Okay. Tell him I'm coming over.”

She bows down and leaves.

After fixing my bed, I walk into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. After that, I change from nighties to casual t-shirt and shorts and brush my hair neatly. I dab a little bit of face powder in my face to look presentable.

Oh, shit! How can I get into the dining area? Considering how big the mansion is, I'd probably get lost around here. I should have just told the housemaid to wait for me. Goddamn it!

Though confused, I storm out of the room and head down the carpeted stairs. Relief flashes through me when I see the lady who knocked at my door earlier this morning.
