Dave's Birthday

After a year . . .

I opened my eyes with a smile that morning. It’s nice to wake up and smile every day, especially when there is a reason to live life to the fullest.

Today is Dave’s 32nd birthday so I’m happy to be preparing with him and our child Davvy, but unbeknownst to him, I am planning a surprise party that day.

I’m smiling while staring at him. He was still asleep next to me. I lift my hand to caress his cheek and kissable lips. He suddenly became dizzy and slowly opened his eyes.

“Hmm. . . good morning,” he whispered using his bedroom voice.

“Good Morning, Dave. . .” I then moved and kissed his cheek. "Happy Birthday," I whispered softly.

He smiled very sweetly at me. He also embraced and kissed my lips. “It’s nice to wake up and see you smiling at me. Thank you very much for making this day complete. With your smile, it's enough for me to wake up every day.”
