CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN

"Thank you." I was shocked when I heard that coming from her mouth. She immediately rolled her eyes upon seeing my reaction.

"Don't. I know what you're gonna say." She warned and I laughed that made her frown even more.

"What the hell, Carmen? I'm not even saying anything yet!"

"Because I know that you're gonna make fun of it!" She exclaimed. "Ugh! I shouldn't have thank you!"

"Ungrateful!"

"Better be one that became a laughingstock!" She freeze and so am I. She was taken aback and her eyes are anxious.

"Um... um, I---I gotta go..." she muttered and left immediately.

I was left seating and thinking about what she had just said.

So Carmen isn't a real bitch. She just act like one because she doesn't want to be a laughingstock or be mocked.
