Chapter 35: Angela pov

She helps me into a black dress that is a halter neck mermaid design. The skirt is full length reaching down to the floor and it has a side split on the left that reaches up to my hip. It has an Ombre colouring where blue is at the bottom and bleeds up into the black. The back is completely exposed down to the very base of my spine but not too far to be slutty.

The exposed back shows off my Angel wings. It also has Ombre coloured looped sleeves that sit on my arms and are attached to the halter neck in a loose loop fashion.

As soon as I step out onto the floor, I know this is the dress. Anya and Jack are silent with their mouths wide open in awe. Even Jeff looks taken aback. I turn to see myself and I almost cry with joy.

“Th-this is it, Martha. This is the one.”

She smiles and I see her eyes glisten with a few unshed tears too.

“What colour palate is this?”

“It’s a cerulean blue miss.”

My jaw almost drops hearing that, it’s too perfect.
