Zedekiel's face went ugly as he wondered how he could have such thoughts about a disgusting human. He glared at the back of the Prince's head, thinking he was being bewitched by the Prince.

Maybe the Prince had found some ancient witch and made her cast a spell on him.

But then, how could he have found a witch? They were said to be extinct. And why would he cast a spell on him? What would he gain?

Then again, as the masked dancer, he had seen emotions churning in the human's bright green eyes.

Adoration, affection, admiration, and greatest of all, love.

Zedekiel quickly shook his head, dispelling the thoughts. It was impossible.

Completely impossible!

The Mother Tree must have messed with his head this afternoon.

A voice whispered in his mind. 'Or it could be your true feelings, the ones you buried so deep...'

Zedekiel frowned and shouted in his mind. 'Then remain buried!'

Prince Ron felt better after breathing properly then he raised his head and gazed around. They had ran all the wa

Prince Ron, who was quietly watching the past, gasped at this point. Zedekiel??? And a Witch??? Why was his beloved mentioned? And with a Witch? What Witch? He wanted to see the Witch right now! What greasy lady or man were getting their hands on his beloved? He wanted to know right away!‘Focus’ he heard the Mother Tree whisper to him and he forced down his jealousy though his face remained a light shade of green. Well, whoever the Witch was stood no chance now. He was already married to his beloved and also pregnant. No one could take Zedekiel away from him.Eron noticeably tensed at the mention of Zedekiel and his Witch. Just hearing their names sent a chill down his spine. They were two beings even he avoided crossing. His gaze flicked instinctively toward a quiet, shaded corner of the grove, where the leaves covered a figure resting against the trunk of a tree, enjoying the cool night breeze. His eyes then flicked back to Dareth. “And what will they do if they find him?” he aske

Prince Ron groaned the second he saw that the scenery had changed. Why does this always happpen to him? Must they always take him to the past? Couldn't they just tell him the story?“Watch.” He heard the gentle voice of the Mother Tree urge in his mind and he sighed, watching the events unfold. (Many many centuries ago…)There was a grove alive with magic. It was a wide expanse of forest stretched beneath the night sky, its trees rising so tall that they almlst disappeared into the clouds, their trunks pale and smooth like ivory columns. Each one of the trees shimmered like diamonds under the moonlight, singing songs of praises for the Earth spirit in unison. The air trembled with the harmony, a melody so soft, so achingly pure, that it seemed to silence even the stars. It was said that these were no ordinary trees. They were the Singing Trees, born from the early breath of the earth, each one gifted with voice and spirit.Their song flowed like wind over water—notes swelling, dippi

  • Becoming the Elf King's bride   Chapter 344

“With more than half of my magic depleted, I needed nourishment from the earth to keep my seed from dying, and so, I left the tree. I walked the world in human form, searching for a land I could plant it where it would be safe and be nourished by the earth but there was almost none. The humans were at war with each other, trying to claim lands and riches, soiling the earth with their blood and hatred. It created negative energy, making the soil uninhabitable for my seed. I wandered among the humans for years, my seed getting dry and brittle. Just when I thought I would never find land, I found Ashenmore, the land of the humans who forced us into hiding.”A faraway smile touched her lips.“Ashenmore was huge. The lands vast and blessed, brimming with vitality. Despite that, I didn't want to plant my seed there, considering that they had killed many of my children. My seed would bring the land great fortune and prosperity and at that time, all I wanted was for the humans to suffer but t

Prince Ron blinked. He looked left, then right, eyes scanning the clearing to see who she was addressing but clearly, there was no one else except him so he turned back to her, pointing hesitantly to himself. “A-Are you… talking to me?”The woman giggled and nodded gently. “Of course I’m talking to you. You’re my son.” She looked at him kindly with a little bit of eagerness, as if she wanted to keep the heart she was holding and hug him but she couldn't. Prince Ron laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. “I’m sorry, but I think you’ve got the wrong person. I’m not Zedekiel. I’m his husband, Prince Ron of Ashenmore. I can’t be your child.” “Oh, but you are,” the woman said, eyes glowing brighter. “You ate my seed.”Prince Ron blinked, confused. “Your seed? I don’t recall—”Suddenly, his eyes went wide, his green irises swallowed by blinding white light and a memory slammed into him like a wave.FLASHBACKThe sound of thunder cracked through the air, and heavy rain lashed

The Queen Mother stared at them. Two trees stood where her sons had once been, their branches arched gently toward each other, as if still reaching for comfort in their final moments. She sank to her knees with a strangled sob, clutching at their trunks. “My babies…” she cried, voice cracking with sorrow. No one said a word. Grief hung thick in the air. And the town square, once so full of life, with people dancing and laughing, now stood eerily quiet, like a graveyard. Every single Elf around had turned into trees, save for Mariel, Ludiciel, the Queen Mother and a few elite Elf soldiers. Princess Mariel fell to her knees beside their mother, trying to console her but ended up crying too. After all, this was their fate. It was just a matter of time before she also ran out of magic and turned into a tree like the rest of them. No one could escape it. Prince Ludiciel couldn’t take it anymore. He turned to Elliot, gripping his hands, his voice hoarse. “You have to go. Now.”Elliot blin

  • Becoming the Elf King's bride   Chapter 341

The once-beautiful town of Netheridge had become a landscape of chaos and despair. Screams echoed through the streets as Elves fell to their knees, their breaths shallow, their limbs stiffening and sticking to the ground. No matter how hard they pulled or tried to move, their feet would not budge. And then slowly, their bodies changed, transforming into hideous trees. Their skin lost its colour, taking on the texture of bark. Veins darkened into root-lines. Their arms and heads turning into branches full of leaves. Their faces remained frozen in terror. One by one, starting from the weakest ones, their bodies hardened, twisting upward, stretching into trunks and branches. Most of the Elves panicked, running aimlessly through the streets, shouting, screaming in fear. Others ran around searching for loved ones. Some tried to wake the transformed, screaming their names through sobs until they too turned into trees on the spot while others locked themselves inside their homes, as if b
