Chapter Hundred and Twenty

EMMA'S POV

My hands were trembling as I waited patiently on the bench, right outside the office of the doctor that called me over.

My heart racing, just thinking of what the outcome might be.

The doctor had contacted Hunter and I to come over together, but Hunter was too busy to show up.

He has an important meeting that needs to be attended to immediately. Not that he doesn't want to come around with me to the hospital, he wants to.

I'm the one who persuaded him to go for his meeting. Promising I'll be fine and share with him whatever report I get after the check up.

And here I am, sitting outside the office of the doctor.

She had told me to wait here while she attended to a patient that came in before me. I can't double cross her because my husband is the Alpha. I did what every good being will do.

Waiting calmly, my attention was fixed on the people passing the hospital with their loved ones.
