Chapter 7. Mommy is cool, but still sucks!

The check was torn into several pieces and left to fall to the floor unceremoniously.

Langdon could not hide the shock from his face. Cade was suddenly grim to see how the girl had slapped him once again in such a dramatic way. Meanwhile, Mike and Mika could only grimace at the fire of hostility that was beginning to burn between the two.

They wanted to cheer when they saw what Fay had done to the check. It looked cool. They were sure that Mommy had never seen that much money let alone had it. But they still thought it was lame. Their daddy is not an easy person to provoke. Fay was like a moth trying to put out a fire.
