Maya just stood there staring at me like I’d grown a second head.

My mouth opened. Closed. It opened again.

“No,” I said too fast. “God, Maya, no. I was just… watching something. Some dirty videos. The guy’s name was Dominic. Coincidence.”

She kept staring. Her eyes dropped to my still-shiny fingers, then back up.

“You were moaning *Daddy*.”

My stomach twisted. I forced out this weird little laugh and wiped my hand on the sheets like that would somehow make it less real.

“People say that in p**n all the time. It doesn’t mean anything. I swear. I would never......Maya, he’s your dad. That’s disgusting.”

The lie tasted awful, but I shoved it out anyway.

Maya’s shoulders dropped a little. She still looked unsettled, but the sharp edge in her voice softened.

“Okay… okay. Just don’t ever say that again. Even as a joke. It’s weird as hell.”

“I won’t,” I said quietly. “I promise. Never again.”

She dragged a hand down her face and sighed.

“Good. Because we’re leaving in twenty minutes and I refuse to spend the whole week at my dad’s house thinking about you touching yourself to his name. Gross.”

Right. The vacation.

I’d almost forgotten.

Every summer her dad opened the lake house for two weeks. Same guest room down the hall from his. Same kitchen. Same long evenings where he walked around in those low sweatpants looking like he didn’t even know what he did to me.

“Yeah,” I said. “Twenty minutes. I’m ready.”

We packed in silence. I shoved clothes into my duffel with shaky hands, still throbbing between my legs, still tasting his name. Maya kept glancing at me like she was waiting for the lie to crack. It didn’t.

By the time we pulled up the long driveway, the sun was already low. The house looked the same as always, glass and dark wood, quiet and expensive against the water.

His black truck was already there.

My pulse kicked hard.

Maya hopped out first.

“Dad’s home. Come on.”

The front door opened before we even reached it.

Dominic stood there in a plain black T-shirt and jeans, sleeves tight on his arms, hair a little damp like he’d just showered. His eyes landed on Maya first, soft the way they always got with her. Then they shifted to me.

Something unreadable flickered there.

“Hey, kid,” he said to Maya, pulling her into a quick one-armed hug. Then, looking past her, “Lila. Good to see you again.”

The way my name sounded in his mouth made my thighs press together.

“Hi, Mr. Torres.”

His mouth curved just slightly.

“Dominic is fine. You’re not twelve anymore.”

Maya rolled her eyes and pushed past him.

“I’m dumping my stuff and then Jason’s picking me up. We’re going into town. Don’t wait up.”

I followed more slowly, feeling his presence like heat at my back. He didn’t say anything else. Just watched me climb the stairs.

Twenty minutes later Maya was gone, kissed her dad on the cheek, waved at me, and disappeared into Jason’s car.

The front door clicked shut.

Silence settled over the house.

I stood in the hallway outside my room, heart loud in my ears. I could hear him moving around downstairs, the soft clink of a glass, the fridge opening.

I should’ve stayed in my room.

I should’ve kept the promise I made to Maya.

Instead I changed.

I pulled on the shortest sleep shorts I owned and a thin white tank top with nothing underneath. The fabric clung to my nipples the second I moved. Hair down. Lips are a little shiny. Then I walked downstairs barefoot.

He was in the kitchen leaning against the counter with a glass of whiskey. Late light cut across his face, highlighting the silver at his temples. He looked up when I walked in....and went still.

His eyes dropped. Slow. Over the thin tank, the hard points of my nipples, the long stretch of bare thigh. His fingers tightened around the glass. When he finally looked back up, there was heat in his eyes he didn’t bother hiding.

I walked closer than I needed to, stopping just inside his space. Close enough to smell soap and whiskey on him. I leaned one hip against the counter, letting the tank stretch tighter across my chest.

“Maya abandoned me already,” I said, voice soft. “Guess it’s just us tonight.”

His throat moved as he swallowed. He set the glass down carefully.

“Seems that way.”

I tilted my head, hair falling over one shoulder. Reached past him for a glass in the cupboard, stretching on purpose so my body brushed his arm, so the hem of my shorts rode higher. I felt the heat of him, the way his breath caught for half a second.

“You always drink alone when we’re here?” I asked, glancing up at him. “Or do you just wait until the house gets quiet?”

His voice came out rougher than before.

“I like the quiet.”

“Do you?” I turned to face him fully, close enough that if I leaned forward another inch my chest would touch his. I let my eyes drop to his mouth, then lower, to the way his jeans sat on his hips, before dragging them slowly back up. “I always wondered what you do in this big house when it’s just you.”

His jaw flexed. His gaze flicked down to my mouth again, then to my nipples pressing against the thin fabric. He didn’t step back.

“You shouldn’t wonder about things like that,” he said, low.

I smiled, slow.

“Why not?” I took a tiny step closer. “I’m not a little girl anymore, Dominic. You said it yourself.”

His eyes darkened.

For a moment the only sound was the clock and our breathing. I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his hand curled into a loose fist on the counter like he was fighting the urge to reach for me. I shifted my weight, letting one thigh brush lightly against his, and felt the sharp inhale he tried to hide.

“You’re playing a dangerous game,” he said, voice almost growling.

My pulse hammered between my legs. I kept my eyes on his.

“Maybe I like dangerous.”

Something raw flickered across his face .... lust, restraint, the heavy knowledge of exactly how wrong this was. His gaze dropped once more to my mouth, then lower, lingering on the way my tank clung to my breasts with every breath.

Outside, gravel suddenly crunched under tires.

A car door slammed.

Maya’s voice, bright, unexpected, too close ... called out from the driveway.

“Forgot my charger! Be right in!”

Dominic’s eyes locked on mine.

Neither of us moved.

The front door handle turned.

Nobody moved for a long time.Maya just kept looking at us like she was daring one of us to speak first. The air in the room felt heavy and wrong and charged all at once. I could still feel the ghost of Dominic inside me. My thighs were sticky. My mouth still tasted like him.Dominic was the one who finally broke the silence.“Maya…. please. Go to your room. We’ll talk about this tomorrow when everyone has cooled down.”She laughed under her breath.“Cooled down?” Her eyes flicked to the front of his pants again. “You’re still hard, Dad. Don’t pretend this is over.”He flinched like she’d hit him.I wrapped my arms around myself, suddenly aware of how little I was wearing and how obvious everything still was. Maya noticed. Of course she did. Her gaze dragged down my body slowly, lingering on the marks his hands had left on my hips and the way my nipples were still visible through the thin shirt.“You really let him fuck you,” she said quietly. Not accusing this time. Almost…. wonderin

Nobody moved.Maya just stood there in the doorway, bag on the floor at her feet, keys still dangling from her fingers. Her eyes were wide and glassy, jumping between me and her dad like she couldn’t decide which part of the scene was more impossible.I was still pinned against the wall. Dominic was still inside me.I could feel every thick inch of him, buried deep, pulsing. My legs were locked around his waist. My shirt was shoved up under my armpits. The wet sound of what we’d just been doing felt like it was still echoing in the room.Dominic was the first to react. He pulled out of me carefully, jaw clenched so hard I heard it click, and set me down on unsteady legs. He turned his body slightly, trying to shield me while he shoved himself back into his pants. His hands were shaking.I yanked my shorts up with clumsy fingers. They were inside out. I didn’t care.Maya’s voice came out small and cracked.“What the fuck.”It wasn’t even a question. Just those three words, flat and d

The silence stretched until it felt like it might snap.Maya stood halfway down the stairs, wet hair dripping onto her hoodie, eyes moving slowly between us.I forced a small, tired laugh first.“We’re fine. I think we’re both just exhausted. Long day, weird energy. You know how it gets when it’s quiet in this house.”Dominic’s voice came out steady, controlled, the father version of himself firmly back in place.“She’s right. I had a long day before you girls got here. I didn't sleep much last night. Everything’s fine, kid.”Maya stared at us for another second too long. Then she shrugged, the suspicion still sitting quietly behind her eyes, and came the rest of the way down.“Okay… if you say so. I’m crashing hard anyway. Jason drained me.”She hugged me again, quick and tight, then went upstairs. Her bedroom door closed with a soft click.Dominic didn’t look at me again. He picked up his untouched whiskey, downed it in one swallow, and followed his daughter upstairs without a word.

I had eleven minutes.I scrubbed my mouth until it hurt, brushed my teeth twice, washed my face with cold water, and yanked the black dress off like it burned. I threw on an oversized T-shirt and soft shorts ,innocent, roommate clothes ...and dragged a brush through my still-damp hair. My lips were still slightly swollen. My thighs still trembled when I walked. Every time I swallowed I tasted him.I was in the hallway when the front door opened.Maya stepped inside looking smaller than usual. Her eyes were red. Mascara smudged. She dropped her bag on the floor and went straight to me, wrapping her arms around me tightly.“He was such an asshole,” she whispered against my shoulder. “I don’t even want to talk about it yet. I just… I needed to come home.”I hugged her back, heart slamming so hard I was sure she could feel it.“It’s okay. You’re here now.”Footsteps sounded on the stairs.Dominic came down slowly, expression carefully blank. He had changed into a dark hoodie and sweatpant

The second the front door clicked shut behind the neighbor, the silence in the house felt violent.Dominic stood with his back against the wood, chest rising hard. His jeans were still open, the thick length of his cock only half-tucked away, still wet at the tip from where my breath had been. I stayed on my knees in the middle of the kitchen floor, black dress hiked high on my thighs, lips parted, heart slamming. He dragged a hand down his face.“Get up.”I didn’t move.“I said get up.” His voice was low, rough, almost shaking with the effort of control. “This stops now. You’re Maya’s friend. You’re twenty years old. I am not doing this with you.”I rose slowly, the short dress barely covering anything. I stepped into his space until my body brushed his.“You were about to let me suck your cock,” I said softly. “You were throbbing in my hand. Don’t pretend you weren’t.”“Lila....”“I’ve wanted this for months.” My voice dropped into something filthy and honest. “I touch myself thinki

The front door opened and Maya walked in holding her charger, a little out of breath. She stopped short when she saw us standing so close in the kitchen. Me in those tiny shorts and thin tank, Dominic rigid against the counter like he’d been caught doing something he shouldn’t.Her eyes narrowed for half a second, then she just shrugged it off.“Jesus, you two look intense. Is everything okay?”Dominic stepped back first, putting clear space between us. His voice came out even.“Fine. You forgot something?”“Charger.” She held it up, then looked at me. “Change of plans. Jason wants to hit that new club after dinner and then I’m just gonna crash at his place. You should come. It’ll be fun. Better than sitting around here all night.”My pulse kicked hard. This was it.I shook my head slowly, keeping my voice light.“I’m actually really tired. Long day. I think I’ll just stay in, maybe watch something. You have fun.”Maya frowned. “You sure? Dad’s probably just gonna drink whiskey and ig
