Scarlett's POV

I stepped out of Alexander's car, which was this time a G-wagon, and said, "Goodnight sir," with a small bow.

He said, "Uh, wait," and got out of the car at the same time. He said, "Here," and gave me a box containing a brand-new phone.

"Huh?" I inquired, putting some of my luggage on the ground, and I took the box away from him.

"You should have that. There is a contact for me, and I've already stored yours. Hold onto it every time I call you since I'll be using that, and get rid of the one you already have because it's old and ineffective. I didn't get a chance to say "thanks" to him before he said and, with a small smile, climbed inside the car.

Tonia's voice called out "Babe" as she approached from behind me, and I sighed with relief that Alexander had left before she showed up. I had texted her to come help me with the bags of clothing and jewelry Alexander had chosen for me at the boutique by meeting me at the bus stop.
