Kira's pov

But who's this stranger?

Who's he? Kind of an angel or what?

I must find out who he is.

I got home with my children, dropped their bag on the second couch in the small sitting room.

There are just two couches In the sitting room.

I bathed Ryan and Rhian then wore a casual cloth for them.

"Now, can you two stay at home? I need to go buy something so I can cook lunch and dinner okay? Don't go out!" I told them, patting Rhian's cheek.

"Yes mom! We won't go out!" Ryan nodded.

"And you? Rhian?" I faced her.

She nodded too.

"Okay. I need to go now. Bye dearies." I kissed them on cheeks before taking my purse and a shopping bag and left the house.

I boarded a cab to the market and paid the driver.

I sighed seeing that the sun was hot and there were just too many people here.

I walked deeper into the market, buying some food stuffs.

I got to where they do sell used clothes. I bought two gowns and tops for Rhian and Two trousers and shirts for Ryan.

Finally, I went back home and saw my children sleeping on each couch. I smiled and dropped what I bought in the kitchen.

I started cooking lunch before the children would wake up.

The Eintopf was ready, I turned off the cooker and covered the pot with its lid.

I went to my room to get changed into something, I removed the card in my breast pocket and stared at it.

I should take this job.

I took my phone out and dialed the number which was on the card to my phone.

I pressed the call button and placed it on my ear. It started ringing and luckily, it was picked.

"Hello" I said nicely.

"Good afternoon. Who's this?" I heard the old man's voice.

"Hmm...this is Kira, the girl at the restaurant. You gave me your card today to call you if I accept to work with you." I answered.

"Oh! That pretty girl!" He said while I rolled my eyes.

"Yes." I managed to say.

"Okay, so you've accepted to work with me right?"

"Yes. Have accepted the offer."

"That's good. So can you start tomorrow or next week Monday?" He inquired.

"Hmm......I think I should start next week Monday. I'd be able to prepare myself." I responded.

"Okay then. I will be expecting you. You sure know the way to the company?"

"Yes! The address is written on the card." I smiled.

"I will be expecting you, young Kira." He said and hung up.

"Aishh! Thank God. The pay will be good."

I lay on my bed and decided to take a nap.

"Mummy! Mummy!! I'm hungry" I opened my eyes to see Rhian tapping me.

"Rhian? Where's your brother?" I asked, getting down from the bed.

I wore my flip flops and held her hand.

"He's still sleeping" She answered.

"Okay, let me get you your food" I said, walking to the kitchen's direction.

I warmed the food since it was a little cold. I dished out Rhian's food and gave it to her.

I watched her as she sat on the couch and ate her food.

"Mom, do you know that I and Ryan will be going for a competition?" Rhian beamed with a smile.

"Sure, I do know. Your teacher told me that. I wish you best of luck sweet heart."

"I wish daddy was here to witness this." She said, sadly.

I swallowed and said, "Rhian! Eat your food. And don't talk while you eat."

"Okay, mom." She continued with her food while I left her.

I got to Ryan and woke him up.

"Ryan baby, come and eat" I cooed tapping him gently.

He whined, opened his eyes and went back to sleep again.

"He really loves sleeping. No wonder he's lazy." Rhian chipped in.

"I will surely cut your hair one day." Ryan suddenly stood up from the couch.

Rhian stuck out her tongue and faced her food.

"That's okay. Ryan come take your food cause am not warming this meal twice."

"Okay mom."

"You haven't eaten, I guess?" He asked me.

"I will eat soon okay? Just eat first." I said to him.

"I wanna watch you eat mom. You're getting skinny. I won't eat until you eat." Ryan tried to prove stubborn.

"Fine! Okay. Now, come take your food."

He followed me to the kitchen and I also dished out his food and mine too.

Finally, we sat down and ate our meal in silence.

I took the plates to the kitchen and came back to sit down beside my kids.

"Mom has gotten herself a new job!" I announced.

"Really? Wow! Where mom?" Rhian giggled.

"What's the job?" Ryan questioned.

"A personal assistant" I replied.

"Wow! A personal assistant to who?" Ryan narrowed his gaze.

"The CEO of Walter Company." I grinned.

"Mama is rich! Mama is getting rich. Yahh!" Ryan threw his hands up to show his happiness.

"Will you be starting tomorrow?" Rhian beamed.

"No baby, I'd be starting next week."

She nodded.

At night, I cooked a little amount of food for dinner. We ate and slept.

The Next Day,

I woke up and ran to my children's room as usual and woke them up.

"Good morning lovelies" I greeted them.

"Good morning mom!" They chorused.

I bathed them and got them ready for school.

They had toasted bread and juice for breakfast.

We boarded a cab to their school and dropped them off while I went to my working place.

I got to the restaurant and dropped my bag on the counter. I adjusted my skirt and wore the best smile I can put on.

I took a small book and pen walked to each customer to ask for their orders.

"What do you want sir?" I asked a man wearing a white shirt with green trouser.

"I need coffee only please." He answered.

"Okay. I will be right back." I turned to go bring what he wants.

I came back and gave it to him.

2:58pm, I was getting ready to take my children in school.

They were supposed to close by 2pm but they are having extra lessons.

"Can you bring me a bottle of champagne and beef stew." A woman ordered.

I ran to Olivia and told her what the woman wants. She gave them to me.

On my way, my phone rang and I saw an unknown number.

I picked it while I walked to the woman.

"Who's this?" I said.

"Mama!" Rhian's voice echoed.

She was crying.

"What's it Rhian? Why are you crying?" I asked, worriedly.

"Ryan got hit by a car." She blurted out.

The tray in my hand dropped. The champagne broke, the beef stew poured and the glass cup too.

I covered my hand with my mouth and ran outside.

"Where are you now?" I cried.

"Emerald Hospital" She answered.

My Ryan! What happened?

I can't afford to lose one of my twins. I can't.

I won't be able to take it.
