Lance's pov

The red in his eyes glittered with lust and blood, there was no backing out now. So, I bounced Ivory on my back and started to run like a maniac along the river line. Under the shades of blue and violet, the darkness seemed to be a disadvantage at the moment, and I was careful not to get carried away and forgot about Ivory on the top.

There were a minimum of twenty rogues and warrior wolves behind us, and they chased us like honey bees chase their prey. Within the pan of the sight, I saw the sun about to set and from this point, it would go down only.

"Lance! I can shift and run… let me do it too…" Ivory whispered in my ears.

That would be a great idea. Since she could shift into her wolf form and run while I keep those rogues busy, I could buy time for her to reach a safe place.

I nodded at her and Ivory jumped in the air, shifting into her wolf. Her golden Auburn fur was glistening against the shadow of the moon. What a beautiful creature she was.
