Leon sat in his chair, twirling a pen in his hand. His gaze was blank, fixed on the papers on his desk. The divorce papers he had signed still lay there. For some reason, that strange feeling kept bothering his mind.

However, he shook his head slowly.

“It doesn’t matter. It’s none of my business anymore,” he muttered softly, as if trying to brush off the feeling that was secretly growing.

The office door opened quietly. Qiara walked in with light steps, her face adorned with a faint smile. She wore a simple cream-colored dress, her long hair neatly flowing down.

“Leon…” Qiara called softly.

Leon looked up, then straightened in his seat. “You?”

Qiara closed the door and walked closer. “I want to talk. About yesterday.”

Leon stared at her flatly. “What now?”

Qiara pulled out a chair, sitting in front of Leon. “I’m sorry. I know I overreacted. I shouldn’t have gotten mad at you. I should have trusted you.”

Her voice sounded sincere. Leon was silent for a few seconds before replying brief

In his room, Leon stood by the window, staring out with a blank expression. The cigarette in his hand had long gone out, but he didn’t bother to light another.Qiara approached slowly, still in her tight red dress. “Leon,” her voice dripped with sweetness. She stood right behind him, letting her slender fingers touch his shoulder. “You’re not angry at me, are you?”Leon remained unmoving, his face completely expressionless.Qiara stepped even closer, wrapping her arms around Leon’s body from behind. “I’ve missed you so much. You don’t even know how long I’ve been waiting for this moment,” she whispered as she tried to kiss his neck.Leon brushed her away gently, his tone cold. “Qiara, stop.”The woman forced a stiff smile, pretending not to hear. She tried again, reaching for Leon’s face. “Just for a moment… let me kiss you.”“Qiara!” Leon turned quickly, grabbing her wrist before she could touch his cheek. His gaze was sharp, full of rejection. “I already told you to stop.”Qiara fro

At seven in the evening, Leon’s black car had just passed through the main gate.In the living room, Mrs. Hansel sat on the sofa with an angry expression. Qiara stood in front of her, wearing a striking red dress, her long hair flowing neatly. Her expression was relaxed, as if she didn’t care about the older woman’s fury.“Qiara, I already told you, leave this place!” Mrs. Hansel’s voice was firm, though her tone trembled slightly. “This house is no longer a place for you.”Qiara gave a faint smile. “Auntie, why do you still reject me? Wasn’t I always by Leon’s side before? You know very well he loves me.”“Love?” Mrs. Hansel scoffed. “Do you think I forgot? If it weren’t for your doing, Leon would never have been dragged into all that filthy mess. You’re a bringer of misfortune.”Qiara’s face stiffened for a moment, but she quickly covered it with a fake smile. “You may say that. But the truth is, Leon needs me. He only loves me.”Mrs. Hansel was about to rise to throw Qiara out dire

That morning, the atmosphere at the De Santos Mansion felt livelier than usual. Servants bustled back and forth preparing breakfast. At the dining table, Mrs. Hansel sat sipping warm tea. Her face looked fresher, though still pale.Leon came down from the upper floor in a neat suit, ready to leave for the office. He walked past the dining table without stopping.“Leon,” called Mrs. Hansel.Leon stopped, glancing briefly. “What is it, Mom? I’m already late.”Mrs. Hansel put down her cup. “Take Giselle to campus before going to the office.”Leon frowned. “What for? She can take a taxi. Besides, I’m not her driver.”“Leon!” Mrs. Hansel’s voice rose slightly. “She’s your wife, even if only by contract, at least treat her properly.”Leon snorted, turning as if indifferent. “Mom, don’t meddle in this matter. I—”“Leon De Santos!” Mrs. Hansel cut him sharply. “Do you want me to get sicker?”Leon fell silent, his jaw tightening. He knew his mother was playing her strongest card. Annoyed, he e

At 7 p.m., the air at the eastern border felt cold. The street lamps only lit part of the area, the rest was pitch black. Leon stepped out of his black car with steady strides. He took off his black suit, leaving only a white shirt with sleeves already rolled up.At his waist, a pistol was tucked. In his hand, a gleaming dagger. Leon’s face looked cold, his sharp gaze piercing the darkness.“Where are they?” Leon’s deep voice was directed at his men who also got out.One of them approached. “In the old warehouse, Sir. There are five of them.”Leon lit a cigarette, inhaled briefly, then threw it to the ground. “Good. Five people, just enough for a warm-up tonight.”With calm steps, Leon walked toward the warehouse. The sound of his footsteps echoed, making the air even more tense. The warehouse door creaked as it was pushed open.Inside, four masked men were already waiting, another stood behind holding a rifle.Leon gave a thin smile. “You entered my territory without permission. That night, Leon’s black car stopped before the grand gate of the De Santos Mansion. The towering iron gate opened automatically, signaling that the mafia heir had just arrived. With a cold expression, Leon stepped out of the car, then opened the rear door.Without giving Giselle a chance to resist, Leon lifted that petite body again.“Put me down, Leon! I can walk on my own!” Giselle struggled, punching Leon’s shoulder in annoyance.Leon only glanced briefly, his lips thinning. “Be quiet, Giselle. You’re making me angrier.”“I don’t care!” Giselle snapped. “I am not an object you can haul around as you please!”But Leon continued to walk briskly past the servants who bowed in respect. No one dared to stop him—everyone knew what would happen if they obstructed Mr. Leon while he was enraged.Once they reached the upper floor, Leon kicked his room door wide open. He roughly lowered Giselle onto the large bed occupying the center of the room.“Leon! You’re insane! What do you mean bringi
