Chapter One Hundred Five

Dawn broke over the camp like a bleeding wound. Red light painted the tents and the angry faces of warriors who hadn't slept.

No one had slept.

Not after watching Nikolai walk away into the darkness. Not after learning their Queen was gone.

Near the fire pit, two warriors faced off. Garrick from Lucian's pack squared against Axel from Dante's. Their fists were already bloody.

"Your Alpha let this happen," Garrick snarled. "If Bloodfang was in charge, the Queen would still be here."

"Fuck you," Axel shot back. "At least Dante wanted to save her. Your Alpha just stands there like ice."

More men gathered around them. The circle grew tighter and angrier.

"Say that again," Garrick stepped closer.

"Dante has balls. Unlike your precious Lucian."

That's when Garrick threw the first punch.

It connected with Axel's jaw. Hard. The sound cracked through the morning air.

Axel stumbled but came back swinging. His fist caught Garrick in the ribs.

"Fight! Fight!" Someone yelled.
