It was odd not waking up in Ezra’s bed. However, it was also lovely to wake and not have sex be the first thing on the agenda. Not that sex is a bad thing by any means, but I feel like somehow there has been a bit of a disconnect from any type of relationship outside of bed. I did enjoy it when we went for a run. The simplicity without any pretenses was refreshing for my soul.

I told Mateo that I could get my own clothes after breakfast, but in truth, I am glad that he is going to do it for me. I’m not angry or upset with Ezra for any reason, but I need time to reflect on everything.

Before I ended up here, I only had one serious boyfriend. Lucien was the one I hoped would be my fated mate, but that didn’t happen. I don’t even know how he feels about all that happened the night of my birthday. While I don’t feel guilty about anything that has happened since I have been here, as far as Tyler is concerned. I do feel like I have somewhat betrayed Lucien.
