Chapter 17

I was saddened by the story of Stefan's family and I didn't know that despite his cheerfulness, he was carrying something heavy. That whole afternoon we just talked and I was also very angry at the killer of his Daddy even though I didn't know him. He deprived a man of his life and liberty so I can't blame Stefan's family for being angry.

"Is the rumor at school true that you and Stefan are dating?" Allison asked me one morning.

Mommy is still not here because she's still out of town so we are the only ones at home. Today is the weekend and Clara and Josiah will be here later to visit.

"Stefan what? Is he the boy that Mommy introduced to us at the last event we went to?" Stella asked.

We are in the living room now and we are doing something. Allison is busy with her school projects, Stella is busy painting, and I am just busy editing hospital equipment using my iPad. I just finished playing with Molly. That's why she is now sleeping next to me.
