Sofia’s pov

I could barely drag in a deep breath without my chest rattling from pain. It must have been over three days with me not getting a wink of sleep. Somehow, I still found myself wondering how tears are still able to slide out of my eyes. It felt like I had cried out every damn teardrop in me, but still, the tears still kept on falling.

My wrist hurt from the amount of hours it spent being tied up, and every inch of my body felt like it was on fire from too much pain.

“Luca is such a bastard, such an undeserving one which I can’t wait to put a bullet into.” Ryan had muttered with so much venom while littering kissed the bruises over my arms.

As he kept going on and on, I wondered how he had managed to hide the fact that he hated Luca for over a year while diligently following all his orders.

“Did you know that at first, I wanted to take your life?” He asked one night out of nowhere, jolting me out of the sleep I had begun to fall into. It felt like he had brought that topic
