Chapter 55

Rosana stood in front of the window, watching as five black cars drove in at once. Alfonso stepped down from the second car and opened the third car for Sergio while Enzo ailighted the fourth. They both wore black suits with white shirts and black shoes.

Turning away from the window, she walked over to the mirror and looked at herself. Being contented with the appearance she had put up, she wore her black coat and walked out of the room.

"Do not speak to me" She snapped at Alfonso before he could utter a word. Quietly, he bowed and stepped away from the door.

After knocking twice, she let herself in. Sergio was sitting behind his desk but there was someone else with him. How did she manage to get to him sooner than she did? Had she also been waiting for his arrival? Did he send for her? Rosana wondered, glaring at Vicenta who was kneeling in front of the desk, waiting for Sergio to finish whatever he was doing.
