Help?

SHE knows very well, when he enters the room at night, when he wakes up , when he gets dressed for work , before the sun can even rise.

  She does not take note of all his actions because she's concerned like other wives will towards their husbands , she only afraid , yes, afraid of her husband and not just him even the pictures around the house especially the one on the bedside table. They all give her sleepless nights. This house is creepy, like those haunted houses.

     But that morning she had given in to reality when she woke up and saw him coldly looking at her with eyes filled with hatred and disgust. She came to the conclusion that he didn't like her and never would. Even the maids here are all cold towards her, just like back home, and now they see her as an abnormal person thanks to her husband. She felt very bored here, at least back home. She had her piano with her and a beautiful garden to distract her .

Then an idea came into her head; visiting her parents' home. At least , those people still love her , her 2nd uncle and his family still cherish her.

After seeing him dressed up and ready to leave, she opened her mouth .

 "Wait" before she could even start reprimanding herself for making a serious mistake , he had already stopped by the door.

 It was so sudden that she nearly hit his back with her head.

     his cold sharp eyes looked over and she flinched and subconsciously grabbed the edge of her shirt, before she finally gathered up the courage to state her mission. 

" I __ I would like to visit my parents' home " .

His hawkish eyes were so sharp as if he could read through her, without saying anything he walked out.

Remembering that he did not restrict her from going anywhere, she took his silence for a YES...

The maids informed her that her uncle and his family had been transferred by her 3rd uncle to the company branch in India. She left without even going into the mansion feeling dejected and lonely. How can they leave her without even a word? With the gifts she bought for them, she walked out of the estate absentmindedly.

When a familiar car drove out of the estate, when she saw the man inside her head subconsciously bowed to the ground , it was her 3rd uncle, the man who owns the fate of every member of the Davis family in his hand. He is just 32, but since he took over the family business, it has skyrocketed to being the top in the business world. Therefore, suppressing the Rey groups , it was because of these changes in status, that Reynolds brought fort the agreement between the patriarch of the two families, a marriage agreement.

Pee!! the loud horns coming from the car made Clara's heart jump. Since she came back from the mental hospital she have been keeping a low profile , avoiding any form of contact with people .

She had no friends and her uncle had never for once looked at her side, so why would he be calling for her now that she no longer belonged to the family? With all this in her mind, she still answered him and even accepted his invitation to join him for lunch.

 When they got to the restaurant, he ordered her favorites and he never stopped apologizing for not being there for her at all. He even promised to help her whenever she needed him.

For the first time Clara felt like a human , now that her uncle now saw her as one of the Davis family members, she was happy now, she would now feel what it's like to have someone who loves you backing you, the little girl who never lifted her head to look at anyone's face left the restaurant as a new person with her new find hope she danced back to Glorious estate ,. After she left the restaurant, the man she had just met smirked.

 "She is still as naive as a child "he murmured.

He turned to his assistant and asked " how many projects has Xavier stolen from us? " 

" Nine, for now Sir, but rumor has it that he has his eyes on it, the contract with Neo international is limited and if he should take this project from us Sir, it will be hard before we get back on our feet " the assistant said with a panic-filled voice.

" But Sir, won't the Miss be hurt if we should make use of her like this . I think she trusts you now."

" She is also a family member, so she will have to make sacrifices for the family business " he said nonchalantly, without any hint of regret , as if the person they were discussing didn't have feelings to be considered.

Because Glorious estate is located at the heart of the city and also a private property, taxes and buses are not allowed near this piece of land, so Clara used her feet from the bus stop to the estate gate but she immediately stopped on her track.

Why are there a lot of people at the estate tonight ?

A large number of people were gathering at the gate, but they were not just normal people, these people seemed to be angry mobs protesting against something or someone...

" To hell with you Xavier Reynold "

"We demand an explanation for this injustice."

The people screamed and yelled, hitting the gate...

Clara was confused. What had the Cold Guy done this time? She was not even given the chance to think when the angry people charged towards her .

"Yes, that is Xavier's new wife. Yes, I heard that she is crazy and that whoever marries her will take over Rey's crops" some angry people screamed , pointing at her.

But the person who was being referred to was now motionless. Her heart was bleeding,so this was the reason why he married her for the company, and she was busy fantasising about having a good life one day.

" Take this and call your husband over ", an angry man shoved his phone in her hand.

"Yes , call him here or we skin you alive," another person was pulling her hair. It was so painful, she felt pain all over, but those pains were nothing compared to the one in her heart.

Before she knew it, she was already on the floor , but she didn't move. She hugged her handbag tightly to her chest , as she quietly endured whatever was being thrown at her.

Inside a black limo, Xavier was busy typing non-stop on his laptop , while he listened to his assistant filling him in with the latest news between Davis and Rey's crops.

 "make sure that I get in contact with that Neo international before that day and make sure that my schedule is also free on that day. I will give the fall of Davis' crops as a gift to her " he said with a wicked smile. He never smiled except when something bad is about to happen.

"Driver, why did you stop the car ?" Tony asked, but he quickly understood what was going on when he saw the crowd outside . His boss just took over the family business officially today and he immediately fired all the previous workers employing other ones on the spot. Now, as expected, those previous workers gathered here to protest.

"Sir, I will go and clear things up " Tony informed him, but the Cold Man thought otherwise..

" My men are not blind ", just these five words, and a lot of people in black suits formed a human well enough to let the car pass without hurting anyone..

When the angry mob saw this, they were distracted, so Clara used this opportunity to walk a few miles away from them onto the dark road.

That lonely figure did not pass the hawkish eyes of both men. Tony looked at the man in the back seat from the rearview mirror and, like always, no emotions were found in his face.

"Boss, madam is here. Should I stop the car ?" He still called his attention.

"Why ?" he glared at him.

"Sorry sir" he quickly apologized.

When the car drove pass her, she bent down on the floor, playing with the soil. She had better stay out here until she is sure he has gone to bed before she returns.

But not long ago she felt a strong dominating presence above her, perceiving the familiar scent she didn't dare look up...

" WHY didn't you ask for my help just now ?" 

The question came as a surprise to her that she was unable to say anything..

" I forgot " was what she could only say , since the time her Grandpa took her to the hospital she found it hard to ask for anybody's help. She loved doing things herself..

Fostered by her answer, he left her there. Walking back to the car, it was Tony who called her "Madam, follow me closely ". She was again stunned because, since their marriage, this was the first time someone from his side referred to her as madam. She smiled at him and followed up.

Before they could get to the car, one of the protesters took out a dagger from his shirt and aimed it at her, but Xavier was quick to respond and he pulled her away while the knife stabbed him through his hips.

 Clara screamed when she saw what happened, but the man did not show any signs of pain. Instead, he faced the criminal and ordered his men to give them what they wanted.

 "Violence!! An eye for an eye. " 

During this process, his wallet fell down. Before he could pick it up, someone had already stepped on the picture.

It was as if someone had just pulled on his pressure points and he lost it. He picked up the picture and cleaned it with his neat suit before giving that person a resounding slap .

Clara looked at the man the way he worshiped the picture in his hand. Sadly, his heart hurt, he was bleeding, but he was focused on the photo with him.

Will someone miss her like this when she dies some day ?

"Order the same wallet and send it to my room " he said before walking out.

Before the car stopped in the parking lot, Tony gave Clara a new wallet just like the other one, since she was his wife, he wanted her to pass it to give him when she got inside, and she happily collected it.

But on getting to the room, he was already in the bathroom so she decided to drop it on the bedside table , but then she saw the old one and decided to help him transfer his things to the new one, since it was her fault . If he hadn't been trying to save her, things wouldn't have ended up this way, but who would have known that her good intentions would be mistaken by him?

" WHO PERMIT YOU TO TOUCH MY THINGS!?" came the most scary voice she had ever heard.

She frozed on the spot not knowing how to answer that question.
