LOGINThe earth seemed to be at a pause from either rotating or revolving at this point to me . I was trying to really understand why Uncle Draco would want me instead of his money.
"He wants to marry you off to his son. " my mom continued as she sniffed. "He lent us the money when you were still two years of age. You were sick then and as a friend he was , he gave us the money while betrothing you to his son. As family friends then, we agreed. But not now...not anymore.." she paused sniffing. Now, this is getting understandable. I recalled that he and my dad were pretty much close until before my dad died. My dad had mentioned to me, in his words "that he and Uncle Draco ain't in the same category of business anymore " . I'd asked him about uncle Draco and why he suddenly stopped visiting us after my dad got demoted , then he said those words. I didn't understand those words, but all I knew was that Mr Draco now acted mean and looked dangerous. I got snapped out of my train of thoughts when my mom drew me to an embrace. I could feel a woman trying to be so strong and not to surrender, yet the reason for being strong is her weakness as well. I could feel a woman determined to achieve the impossible, although it will be difficult. She cried out in my arms as though she felt her fight would be of no use, she cried as if she already knew that I would be taken from her, she cried as though this would be our last long embrace. Hell no! I raised her chin and looked at her intently "Mom, I won't leave you and I'm ready to do anything for us to repay Mr Draco his fifty-five million dollars....even if it means not catching sleep for a week, mom" I assured her . ---------- Ray barged into the living room, panting heavily in anger. He stared around and caught the sight of his father, lighting up a cigarette as usual. A fat envelope was on the large table there. "What have you done, Dad?" he asked fuming. But the man kept smoking, puffing smoke at Ray's face. His three bouncers were there, anxiously waiting for their boss to give a command, so they would bundle Ray out of his presence. "Draco!" he yelled his father's name and just before two seconds could pass by, Draco gave him a punch across his face. His bouncers wanted to actually do that, but he declined them and punched Ray within a second. "This guts, because of a lady? Ray, you dare not disrespect me in my house. I'm not just your father, but also the Lord of the most powerful mafia in this country. I have separated you both and you only do my bidding , else you would cease from being the mafia heir" Ray gnash his teeth and if not for these bouncers, his father was just a frail man that keeps trying to be so strong. Looking at his father in the eyes while fuming, he said; "I do what I want to do in my personal life. And to hell with your godforsaken mafia...you should know I'm barely interested in that ". He stormed out of the living room. Draco simply let out a dry laugh, as he opened the envelope on the table. A gun and a bundle of dollars was in it. He smiled wryly at his bouncers and closed the envelope. He had succeeded in sending Ray's girlfriend out of the country. He despised that girl and wanted only what he wanted for his son. He had his reasons. Ray drove out in his Bentley and left the house. He had no place in mind, he just kept driving speedily on the road. Ray was trying to build a relationship with Disha , the young lady he met in a clubhouse. He wasn't the kind of man that indulged in relationships or love affairs, but he had decided to try it out with Disha. He wanted to marry her secretly and run away with her, from his father. Ray hated everything that had to do with the Mafia or being the Mafia heir, not even after it took the life of the first woman he had ever loved! Thinking of that, a feeling of both grief and anger surged up his spine. He immediately reversed his car and headed to his hotel. Lorna's POV- I packed up some sheets, duvets and blankets into the bag. Those were new stuff that we hadn't used and my mom had decided to sell them all for a million dollars. They were really worth it. I was glad that I was helping my mom in selling our properties just to repay Mr Draco. It's been four days since I joined her and in total, we've made nine million and three hundred thousand dollars. This day was another day to sell again. A particular hotel caretaker had reached out to Mom that they needed new sheets, duvets and blankets to replace the old ones on all the bedrooms in the hotel. My mom had advertised a little that she wanted to sell these things and surprisingly, this big hotel reached out a day before and had sent the complete money to my mother. My job was to simply deliver the items to the hotel, since my mom was going to sell some jewelry to a customer in Atlanta. Evening was drawing close and it seemed like it was about to rain. I hurried off to the hotel in a taxi . The hotel was massive as I stared around. Time was already ticking and I couldn't find the caretaker. Mom had given me her digits and I kept calling, but she didn't pick. Soon, she met me outside and apologized for keeping me waiting. We entered inside and she began to check if everything was complete and of good quality. I watched her keenly as she nodded her head in approval. We were in a large room, which she said was the largest bedroom. Only rich and wealthy people can actually afford it, I thought to myself. The hotel started sounding busy, it was getting late and this is the time when hotel users patronized the place. "Miss, I believe I should get going, " I said to her. I couldn't just stay there, it was getting late and in fact, it had started drizzling. "Oh dear, sorry for keeping you waiting once again. Could you please help me with changing the old sheet to this new one? I'll get you an umbrella soon " she asked politely. I agreed. After all, it was still drizzling and I was sure it wouldn't start raining much before I finished. The caretaker, Miss Gwen, left and I pulled the old sheets out. I kept it in the wardrobe there and spread the new sheets on the bed. Just as I was arranging it neatly, the door swung open."Where's the doctor and why are you here? I remember asking Lincoln to leave just now and I didn't send for you . Have you been standing here for long, Jeremy?" Draco growled, anger visibly written all over his face. He felt Jeremy was eavesdropping on him and funny enough, he hated that attitude and didn't even know why he thought of that. His cold eyes fixed on that of Jeremy, who was seemingly stammering. "My Lord....eerm, the doctor is done and...and I wanted to call you sir. He says he's leaving, My Lord " quivered Jeremy. Still, Draco couldn't believe it immediately. "What did you hear, Jeremy?""I heard nothing, my Lord. I'm being sincere " Jeremy mustered all the courage in him to reply to his boss whose grey eyes seemed to be peering into his soul. "Tell him to go, I'll speak with him via phone call later in the day " he trailed off and immediately banged his door, not allowing Jeremy to respond or speak further. Pacing forth and back in his lar
The Highness, Klaus Samoan, was known as the Godfather. He was the founder of the US Mafia , especially the groups operating in Washington State , the DC and Philadelphia. He headed all the gangs and mafia groups all over the USA including the sub bosses of smaller criminal organizations. However, there was a feud between him and the former Lord of the City Council which made all members of the group to be distant from him . Draco inherited the issue and even after Klaus announced him as the Mafia Lord, they never made peace. But even at that, Klaus monitored the activities going on in the groups, including the ongoing saga between the Headers and the City Council. If there was anyone who would solicit for his help this time, it would be Draco and surely, he did call. "You knew I would call? All calls are being taken by your secretary, if I can remember". Draco replied, a surprised look on his face. It seemed as though someone had already told the Godfather that he
Vivienne made her way into the streets of Juan Estate , as cabs weren't allowed into the estate and she had sold her car . She wanted to pay him an August visit. Although she felt nervous about visiting him in his mansion, she just needed to do something about her daughter's hostage in Draco's. Having made some findings, she realized that Draco and Juan were sworn enemies and the Juan she knew was now the Mafia Lord of the Headers. Every other person would have taken a second thought on making the visit, but since she thinks she'd become on good terms with Juan again, she decided to go. He surely wouldn't ignore her. The security was tight around the high gates before the mansion premises. Juan had already seen a blonde lady approaching the gates. He had set his mansion in that manner, that he would get the signal of a visit even before the person was allowed into his premises. Closely watching, he saw the woman get close until he could recognize who it was. Th
For once I looked at his face very well and it looked familiar, or was it that he had a striking resemblance with someone I knew. I gently took the phone from him and when I observed there was no scratch on it, I let him pass by. I turned around to take a look at him again, still reminiscing the familiarity, and I caught him staring at me . He immediately turned to his direction. Something looked suspicious but I didn't want to think of it because I noticed he had a burn on his left arm. As I stepped out, I met a medical doctor who had probably come to treat him with other men and then, Draco trailing behind. The atmosphere was a bit tense, Draco looked so angry and I was afraid he might do something to me if he found out I was about to go behind the house and call my mom. "Where's Ray?" he asked, as he approached me. "I don't know, sir" I quivered, thinking he was suspecting something "What do you mean you don't know? Where's he been?" he asked again, the ang
Don Draco was never at home. He kept going for meetings, especially with the Mexican client . The man had just two months to return to Mexico with the deal sealed, and Don Draco didn't want to take chances anymore. He was so ready to battle it out with Don Juan, even if it meant killing any of his members . That very day, he had a meeting with some distributors from another drug warehouse, more contraband was needed to impress Mr Diego of course.. He also needed to wrap up the contract he just signed with the arm suppliers. After signing the contract, he decided to move to the scheduled place he was to meet with the client when a G-Wagon blocked his convoy. He'd gone out with his limo in between the convoy of a Bentley and a Benz. That had always been his position in a convoy . Frank stepped down from the Bentley and approached the car. "Get out of the way, now !" he ordered calmly, knocking on the glass window of the car. The driver hesitated before pulling down
I entered the building and it looked so old fashioned and quite dusty. It seemed like it'd been a long time since anyone entered. The inside was just like a wide one room apartment and all I saw were enlarged photos that were faced to the wall, all of them. My eyes caught something towards the ceiling and when I looked well, I was terrified. It was a scary painting of a dragon's face stained with blood, with its mouth spewing fire. An inscription was below the drawing and it read; "CAN YOU SEE ME ? , COZ I DO" That scared the hell out of me, but funny enough, I couldn't leave. I saw a door in the room and out of curiosity again, I opened it and it led me into another darker room. What I thought was a one room apartment happened to have more than a room in it and it seemed each door would lead to a darker room. This room I was now in had enlarged images too faced to the wall, but one wasn't faced to the wall. I could see the image because it had a colorf
