Lucas....

"Fine, but you owe me"

He smiled reaching out for her hand

"Owe my foot"

She muttered under her breath stretching out her hand, the blood almost filled the room but Aurora's hand was long enough to reach his

She felt him wrap her fingers in a tight grip 

And then there was nothing 

His body suddenly went limp, he couldn't feel his nerves, and he felt dizzy for a second...

Aurora observed that and held his scarf tight, but unfortunately loosened it, revealing his face...

Aurora froze as they both stared at each other...

She didn't know who he was, but Ryan's face appeared in the view

She didn't know who he was, 

 but she could recognize his face.....and his eyes...

That one look of confusion turned into complete shock.  

"Your eyes"

She whispered trying to figure out why he had noticeable red eyes and how his iris seemed so pale and lifeless.

It was like looking into a mirror

..a reflection of what someone had once been.......

Immediately, Ryan pulled her away from himself and tried to quickly cover up his face...

"Oh I see, you don't want your identity to be seen......my bad, I'll go close the door"

She said heading to the opened door

"Wait!!!!"

Ryan yelled but Aurora had already shut the door

"You fool"

He walked fast towards the door and tried to open it but it was no use

"What's wrong?"

Aurora asked innocently

"That door can only be opened from outside"

He said as he also struggles to open the door

She gasped

"Oh! I didn't know that if I had known I wouldn't have opened it"

She pouted staring at him intensively, he was indeed good-looking, she couldn't take his eyes off him

 His hair is long enough, the dark brown strands almost reach his ears. His jawline is sharp but not too much. He has a full face, but his eyes...his eyes...how can they be this color? It's almost black...the most beautiful shade of red eyes Aurora has ever seen....they look so mysterious. Aurora shook her head to snap out of it. Ryan noticed he was staring at her

"This is your fault, you know"

He said calmly but in a harsh way

"Because of you and your dead husband, we are stuck here"

"My husband? For the last time, he is not my husband, I was looking for someone and I got stuck in here"

"Arghhhhh, you moron"

Ryan sighed

"You're the moron"

Aurora muttered under her breath but Ryan heard just right

What did you say, miss?"

She huffed out the air in irritation and looked over at him

"Nothing, nevermind"

He smirked in amusement, then turned away and leaned on the wall.

"I don't hurt ladies, don't let me start with you"

"Yeah right" 

She muttered again

"That's it"

He stood up, walked towards her, and choke and slammed her against the wall

She screamed and struggled in his arms, kicking and biting and hitting as best she could. Ryan was no longer smiling, all his attention was on her instead. He squeezed his forearm tighter around her throat and felt her gagging for air. He didn't want to kill her yet, not quite yet. 

 But there was something satisfying about choking a girl. A lot of people thought he wasn't like the rest of them, but they were wrong.

Ryan knew how to kill someone without leaving any signs. And this... this would be fun. 

His grip tightened, he could feel her weakening under his hold but the look of pure horror on her face was worth it. 

 Her mouth fell open, eyes bulging, and lips quivering

While doing this, Ryan observed something, something that have never happened before...

His strength.....

His strength was.....

His strength was weakening...

He knew that she would have been dead by now, this never takes more than five seconds to end someone's life...

The last part of his vision faded from his sight, his strength gave way and his arms dropped down slowly. The girl slid off his chest onto the floor and coughed hard, then stared back at him with wide terrified eyes. She started shaking violently, tears ran down her face

Aurora was crying, Ryan realized.

His demonic powers are getting weak...

How?

That's not possible, no powers are greater than his, no powers at all are greater than his...

No... No one is that strong.....

Ryan didn't remember anything anymore. The only thing left in his mind was a feeling of dread. This can't be happening...

He looked around and tried to focus on something besides his surroundings. Everything seemed to blur together. All color disappeared from the world, the sounds, the smells. The only things left in his view were Aurora and the walls and the ground, everything was blurry

And then the ceiling fell in......

He fought so hard not to lose consciousness...

The only thing that could surpass his strength was...

"No, it couldn't be"

He muttered kneeling on the floor and trying to stay awake

"It can't be stone, she can't have it"

He looked at Aurora

And then he saw something, some kind of shadow flitting across her body

Something that made his heart stop in cold shock

He blinked rapidly to clear his sight and the shadow stopped moving around Aurora's body

And then he saw her face

It's Aurora...

It's her face...

Aurora just stood there trying to get what just happened and how she is still alive...

"WHAT ARE YOU?"

Ryan yelled 

"What are you talking about? Do you need help?"

She said she didn't understand what was happening to Ryan...

He wasn't bleeding but she felt that he was going to die soon...

"HOW DO YOU HAVE THE GEMSTONE?"

He asked again trying to control his vision...

"What gemstone?"

She said trying to hold her tears, she can't watch another person die in front of her...

"Oh my God"

She said walking towards Ryan

"Get away from me!!"

He yelled again trying to control his vision...

 failing utterly.

"I don't know what you're talking about"

she whispered back to him

Ryan took a deep shuddering breath and focused

He could make the pain go away, he just have to focus and calm his nerves, but with Aurora around, he couldn't do much to get rid of the pain. 

He had to concentrate, try harder...

Ryan closed his eyes again, the shadows were gone. But the pain was still there, so very present. He wanted it to leave, to vanish. For the pain to disappear completely...

He took another deep breath, and the pressure increased once again. His lungs burned, a sharp pain shot through his head, and his whole body felt numb.

 He clenched his jaw. He felt something, it was something different... It was familiar, somehow. Not his powers, this was something else. Something inside of him. Something new... he tried to concentrate on it, to see if he recognized this, maybe it was a demon thing, something he could use

The pain subsided almost instantly.

"Are you okay?"

Aurora asked even though he was the one who tried to murder her earlier

Suddenly, the door opened making Aurora shriek 

Aurora gasped when she saw the tall slender man with dark hair and piercing blue eyes. He had a scar running diagonally across his nose bridge, a scar like a lightning bolt that looked painful. The man walked past Aurora without acknowledging her and walked toward Ryan

Aurora got up from the floor and used the opportunity to leave the room

"Ryan!!"

The man ran towards Ryan trying to figure out what happened

"Are you okay?"

"Lucas, don't let her get away"

He said trying to catch his breath

"But...."

"I'm fine Lucas, get her, she has what I'm looking for...... Don't let her get away"

Lucas nodded reluctantly and started running after Aurora
