When Phoebe didn't say anything, Dahlia grew even more smug. She crowed, "Are you scared now?"

Chloe happened to come over then and was surprised. "Phoebe…"

Dahlia snorted. "If you are, you had better apologize to me—"

She abruptly stopped talking and screamed as Phoebe slapped her squarely in the face. Phoebe had put so much force into it that Dahlia staggered backward, looking dumbstruck as she cupped her cheek.

Dahlia was so shocked that she didn't even have time to feel angry. She gaped at Phoebe, her eyes unfocused and filled with astonishment.

Phoebe slapped her again, and she swayed on her feet once more.

Chloe was the first to return to her senses. She wanted to step forward to break up the fight, but Phoebe gripped Dahlia by the neck and pinned her to the wall.
