Chapter 39: Mine

(Emma’s P.O.V.)

My head is killing me and my stomach is upset. I slowly open my eyes and look around me. I don’t recognize this dark room. The room is empty except for the mattress I’m lying on over the floor. I try to move, but my hands are tied together on my back with a rope. I try to break free, but the knot is too tight. After several tries, I am able to kneel over the bed.
