"Liana!"

Kael's desperate shout echoed through the collapsing sanctuary as the Shadow Dragon charged toward her. Every thunderous step shook the ancient chamber, sending more rocks crashing from the ceiling.

The beast's crimson eyes burned with unnatural fury.

Dark mist swirled around its massive body, a clear sign that the Mind Chain was controlling it.

Liana stood frozen.

Her legs refused to move.

The Celestial Heart glowed brightly in her hands, pulsing faster with every passing second.

The dragon opened its jaws.

Dark flames gathered deep within its throat.

"No!" Kael roared.

He poured every ounce of strength into his legs, racing toward Liana. His blue sword blazed with brilliant light as he prepared to intercept the attack.

But he was too far away.

General Varis laughed triumphantly.

"The Guardian dies today!"

Just as the dragon released its black flames, the Celestial Heart erupted with dazzling golden light.

A transparent shield surrounded Liana.

The flames crashed against it, exploding in every direction.

The sanctuary trembled violently.

When the smoke cleared, Liana remained unharmed.

Everyone stared in disbelief.

Commander Rylan smiled.

"The Heart is protecting its Guardian."

General Varis's smile disappeared.

"Impossible."

The dragon growled angrily.

Though its body remained under the Mind Chain's control, it couldn't break through the barrier.

It attacked again.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Each attack was stopped by the golden shield.

Liana slowly opened her eyes.

She looked directly at the dragon.

For the first time, she noticed something she had missed before.

Behind the beast's rage...

Behind the crimson glow...

There was pain.

Its eyes were pleading for help.

"It isn't trying to hurt me," she whispered.

Kael finally reached her side.

"What?"

"It's fighting the spell."

He looked carefully at the dragon.

She was right.

Every time it attacked, the creature hesitated for a fraction of a second, as if another force inside it was resisting.

Commander Rylan frowned.

"The Mind Chain doesn't completely erase free will."

"It only suppresses it."

Liana tightened her grip on the Celestial Heart.

"Then maybe..."

"I can free it."

Kael immediately shook his head.

"It's too dangerous."

"If I'm right, it's suffering."

"Liana..."

"We can't leave it like this."

Kael looked into her determined eyes.

He realized she had already made her decision.

He sighed.

"Then I'll protect you."

She smiled gratefully.

"I knew you'd say that."

Without another word, Liana stepped beyond the golden barrier.

Everyone gasped.

Commander Rylan took a step forward.

"My Lady!"

General Varis burst into laughter.

"She just signed her own death warrant."

The dragon roared and lunged.

Kael instantly moved between them.

His sword collided with one of the dragon's enormous claws.

The impact threw him several meters across the chamber.

He rolled across the stone floor before forcing himself back to his feet.

The difference in strength was overwhelming.

The dragon wasn't merely powerful.

It was ancient.

Liana continued walking.

Slowly.

Calmly.

The Celestial Heart floated from her hands, shining brighter with every step.

The dragon raised its massive head.

Dark flames flickered around its mouth again.

Yet...

It didn't attack.

The beast simply stared at her.

Liana reached out her hand.

"I don't know who you are."

"I don't know why you're protecting this place."

"But I know this isn't what you want."

Tears formed in the dragon's glowing eyes.

The crimson light flickered.

For a brief moment...

Its eyes turned gold again.

Then the darkness returned.

General Varis clenched his fists.

"Fight!"

He raised the enchanted whistle once more.

The dragon screamed in agony.

Dark chains appeared around its neck and wings.

The beast collapsed to one knee.

Liana's heart ached.

"The chains..."

"They're hurting it."

The gentle voice from the Celestial Heart echoed once more.

"Only the Guardian can break them."

"How?"

"Trust the light."

Liana closed her eyes.

She stopped trying to understand.

Instead, she simply listened.

Warm energy spread from the Heart through her entire body.

Golden light surrounded her like flowing water.

Her clothes shimmered as elegant silver markings briefly appeared across her arms.

Commander Rylan watched in amazement.

"The Guardian's Blessing..."

Kael had heard of it only in ancient stories.

No Guardian had awakened the blessing in over a thousand years.

Liana slowly opened her eyes.

They now glowed with soft golden light.

She gently placed her palm against the dragon's enormous forehead.

"I know you're afraid."

The dragon stopped struggling.

"I know you're in pain."

Golden light spread from her hand.

The black chains wrapped around the dragon began to crack.

General Varis's confident smile disappeared.

"No..."

The first chain shattered.

Then the second.

The third.

Each broken chain dissolved into tiny fragments of darkness.

The dragon let out a deafening cry.

This time...

It wasn't a cry of pain.

It was freedom.

The crimson glow vanished from its eyes.

Once again, they shone with brilliant molten gold.

General Varis stumbled backward.

"My control..."

"My artifact!"

The enchanted whistle suddenly cracked apart in his hand before crumbling into dust.

The dragon slowly lowered its head before Liana.

Then, to everyone's astonishment...

The enormous creature knelt.

Commander Rylan immediately bowed.

"The Guardian has been acknowledged."

Every surviving guard followed his example.

Even Kael stood speechless.

The legends had never mentioned this.

Liana gently stroked the dragon's scales.

The beast closed its eyes peacefully, almost like a loyal companion greeting an old friend.

Then something unexpected happened.

Ancient symbols across the sanctuary began glowing once again.

The Celestial Heart rose into the air.

A beam of golden light shot toward the ceiling.

The entire sanctuary vibrated.

A deep voice echoed from every direction.

"The First Trial is complete."

Liana looked around in confusion.

"Trial?"

The voice continued.

"Guardian..."

"The path has only begun."

Suddenly, a hidden wall behind the pedestal slowly opened.

Beyond it stretched a long passageway illuminated by floating blue crystals.

At the far end stood a magnificent stone door engraved with the symbol of two intertwined worlds.

Kael stared at it in disbelief.

"I've seen that symbol before."

Commander Rylan nodded.

"It marks the Road of Guardians."

"The ancient path leading to the Temple of Origins."

General Varis quietly stepped backward while everyone focused on the hidden passage.

No one noticed him slip a small communication crystal from his pocket.

The crystal glowed faintly.

"My Lord," he whispered.

"The Guardian has awakened..."

"And the Temple of Origins has revealed itself."

Far away in the Celestial Kingdom, Lord Malachar smiled as the message reached him.

"So..."

"The game has finally become interesting."

He rose from his throne and looked toward the dark horizon.

"Prepare the army."

"If the Guardian is heading to the Temple of Origins..."

"We'll be waiting for her."

The road to the truth had finally opened—but so had the path to an even greater war.

The endless white realm was silent. No wind. No sky. No sound except Liana's own heartbeat. Seven magnificent thrones stood in a perfect circle before her. Each throne was carved from a different material—gold, emerald, crystal, silver, sapphire, amethyst, and finally one of pure white stone that seemed to shine with its own gentle light. At the center rested the Crown of Eternis. Its six awakened gemstones glowed brilliantly. Only the seventh remained dark. The voice returned, deeper than before. "Take the Crown." "Become the Queen of Eternity." Liana slowly walked toward it. Each step caused ripples of light to spread across the endless floor. She stopped only a few feet away. The Crown was breathtaking. Beautiful. Powerful. It felt familiar, as if it had been waiting for her all along. The first voice whispered again. "Rule every world." "End every war." "No one will ever suffer again." The temptation was overwhelming. Liana imagined it. With such power...

  • Beyond His World   Chapter 47: The Opening of Eternity

The heavens split apart. A deafening roar echoed across every corner of the Celestial Kingdom as the colossal black Gate of Eternity emerged above the crimson clouds. Lightning crackled around its enormous frame, illuminating seven ancient locks carved into its surface. Six had already shattered. Only one remained. The entire world seemed to hold its breath. --- Inside the Abyssal Spire, everyone stared upward through the broken ceiling. Even the Abyss Wyrm trembled. Its massive body lowered instinctively, as though bowing before an ancient force. Commander Rylan had never seen the guardian afraid. "What is happening?" The Wyrm's golden eyes never left the Gate. "It has begun." "The prophecy can no longer be stopped." Liana tightened her grip on the Celestial Heart. The six awakened Seals spun around its glowing core. For the first time... They weren't shining peacefully. They were pulling toward the Gate. Almost as if answering a summons. Kael noticed immediately.

  • Beyond His World   Chapter 46: The Last Stand of the Sixth Keeper

The chamber exploded in a blinding flash of silver light. Liana was thrown backward as the colossal hand of darkness tore through the ceiling, shattering ancient pillars that had stood untouched for thousands of years. The force of the impact cracked the marble floor beneath her feet, and the beautiful chamber of the Sixth Trial began collapsing around them. At the center of the destruction stood Orion. The Sixth Keeper held his silver sword with both hands, its blade blazing like a newborn star. The darkness pressed against his weapon, filling the chamber with a terrible screech as light and shadow collided. For a moment... Neither side moved. Then the darkness laughed. It was a voice unlike any Liana had ever heard. It wasn't loud. It wasn't angry. It was calm. Ancient. Certain of its own victory. "Orion..." "Still pretending you can change fate?" Orion tightened his grip on his sword. "I don't seek to change fate." "I seek to give humanity the chance to choose it."

  • Beyond His World   Chapter 45: The Choice Beyond Destiny

The meadow fell silent. The two paths before Liana glowed beneath the endless night sky. One shimmered with warm golden light, peaceful and inviting. The other was cloaked in shadows, yet tiny stars flickered within the darkness, as though hope still lingered beyond it. Orion stood beside the crystal lake with his hands folded behind his back. His expression was calm, but there was sadness in his silver eyes. "For thousands of years," he said softly, "every Guardian who reached this place believed they could save everyone." Liana didn't take her eyes off the two paths. "And they couldn't?" Orion slowly shook his head. "No." "The worlds were created with balance. To preserve one, another must pay the price." His words struck her like a blade. "So you're telling me that everything I've fought for... every sacrifice... was leading to this?" "I'm telling you," Orion replied, "that every Guardian must decide what kind of future they are willing to carry." Liana clenched her fis

  • Beyond His World   Chapter 44: The Gate of Eternity

The silence that followed Nyxara's departure was almost unbearable. Dust drifted slowly through the shattered chamber of the Abyssal Spire. The broken pillars, scorched stone, and glowing runes bore witness to the overwhelming power of the Seventh General. No one spoke. The Abyss Wyrm slowly lowered its enormous head toward Liana. Though its body still carried the scars of countless battles, its golden eyes had become gentle once more. "The Key has accepted you," it said in its deep, ancient voice. "But that is only the beginning." Liana looked at the seven-colored crystal floating above her palm. "I don't understand." "What is the Gate of Eternity?" The Wyrm remained silent for several moments before answering. "It is the place where the fate of every world is decided." Kael exchanged a glance with Commander Rylan. "What do you mean... every world?" Cassian stepped forward. "The First King never ruled only the Celestial Kingdom." Everyone turned toward him. "He protec

  • Beyond His World   Chapter 43: The Wyrm's Judgment

The roar of the Abyss Wyrm shook the entire Abyssal Spire. Stone pillars split apart as enormous pieces of the ceiling crashed into the chamber below. Dust and fragments of black crystal filled the air while ancient runes burned across the walls like rivers of molten fire. The colossal beast forced more of its body into the tower. Its obsidian scales reflected the violet glow of the Fifth Seal, and each breath released dark mist that swallowed the surrounding light. Liana instinctively tightened her grip on the Celestial Heart. Its five awakened gemstones pulsed rapidly against her chest. For the first time since becoming the Guardian... The Heart felt afraid. Kael stepped in front of her, raising the Celestial Blade. "No matter what happens..." "...you stay behind me." Liana shook her head. "We face this together." Commander Rylan planted his sword into the cracked floor. "Royal Guards!" The surviving guards immediately formed a defensive line despite their exhaustion.
