Chapter 49
Early in the morning, the following day, Imman came in early and placed his resignation letter on chairman Schweitzer's desk. He did not wait for him to come, instead, he told the secretary that the chairman does not need to talk to him anymore for they are already done talking. More and more employees have come and greeted the former vice-chairman, having no idea that he is no longer part of the multi-billion company.
Before he started driving his car, he called Cassandra and asked her if they could meet up in a restaurant near the children's school. He knew that the heiress is on her way home after bringing the children to school. Imman was surprised to see that Cassandra was already waiting for him at the table near one of the windows. They kissed each other on the lips and sat opposite. "Have you slept well, honey?" Imman asked his beloved. "Yes, of course, how about you, dear? You don't look fine..." she retorted.

Elijah went home alone. His auntie Jane was surprised not to see him at school when she came to pick her son Billy and him up. He told his cousin that he had to go to a friend's house and that he will go home by himself. Cassandra got alarmed when Jane called and informed her about her son. She called Elijah immediately but he did not bother answering his phone. She got a text message coming from him, saying that he is on his way home, and she must not get worried. Her son rented a taxi cab to bring him to the mansion. Whenever the twins needed the help of their elder brother, they call him into the living room. That afternoon, the kids told him that they have been treated by their parents to an ice cream parlor where they ate their favorite ice cream flavor. "You know what Elijah, I've eaten two scoops of chocolate ice cream with peanuts, it's so delicious and yummy!" said Isabella to her brother while she starts doing her assignment with his help.

The following day, Imman went to court and attend the hearing with his client. The trial went well and the verdict went in his favor.
