Melody’s POV
Bzzzzt Bzzzzt, I gasped awake, sweating all over. My phone vibrated in my hand; the alarm I set on my phone flashing one pm. Damn, I thought, that was hot. I never had a wet dream like that before, and definitely never had one about someone I had only met once. I stretched and put my shoes back on deciding to park back at the pack house and take a short walk to the bakery, the day was beautiful and I did not want to waste such nice weather being inside. When I arrived, the motorcycle was the only thing in the lot, everyone else more than likely going somewhere for lunch. Walking down to the bakery, I was hit with the smell of something enticing; stirring up my wolf and making her perk up. The wind was blowing from the bakery, a figure sitting down and eating something from a box. When I got closer, the smell hit me full blast, I could make out the facial features. “fuck.” I got out before chaos ensued. ***** Teddy’s POV I couldn’t believe my luck as I saw Melody from Friday step into the Alpha’s office. I had just decided to stop in the bakery to see her again after my meeting. I was pissed at Axel for ruining the bike, but we should have enough time to fix it by the new deadline. Chip, and Axel and I were allowed to stay until the following Monday to fix it, but the gang had to leave by Friday. I also wanted to get more of those amazing macarons the trio had brought back. How they lucked out on another wolf where they were, I couldn’t tell.” Pity what the girl is going through.” The secretary said as she lead me to the front door. “What happened?” I asked, now curious. “Her chosen mate cheated on her, now they’re setting up her divorce for next Monday and doing the bond break today.” The woman said, eager to gossip to me. I was shocked. If I had that woman as mine, I would have never cheated on her. I was let outside and the door was closed behind me. I decided to get more macarons as I waited to see that girl again, knowing that she wouldn’t be in the bakery for now. This time I planned on getting enough dessert to share with my gang since they seemed so keen on taking all of my haystacks last time. I decided to walk down to it since it was only a few blocks away. When I reached the bakery, it was all but empty inside. Obviously I had missed the run for breakfast goods, and it was like any other store for being slow on a Monday. There were just a few donuts left in the case, but I wanted macarons. The cookie display had an assortment of chocolate chip, sugar, peanut butter, and a couple of others, but no macarons. “Can I help you?” A lady walked out from the back of the store. She was about five foot five or so and had shoulder length red hair. “Yes,” I looked to her nametag, “Heather, I was hoping for some macarons? I got some from an acquaintance and he said he got them from here.” “Oh, those were the special last week. Each week there there is a specialty item with a discount. This time; it’s our delicious fudge brownies, any of our flavors.” She gestured to the case, indicating the selection they had. There were only about four slices of each flavor; walnut, plain, and turtle. “Well, there isn’t a lot there, and I need to feed at least thirty five or so people.” “If you’d like, I have a fresh batch in the oven now and I can have some ready for you later today.” “That would be great! How long do you think before they’d be ready?” Before she could answer, we both stopped and began to sniff the air. A tart smell of burning chocolate began to permeate our noses. “Oh, Shit!” Heather turned and ran to the back. Curiosity got the best of me and I followed, hoping she didn’t shoo me out right away. There was a small hallway leading to the back behind the counter. Down the hall there were three doors. One straight ahead had an exit sign above it and the one to the right had a sturdy door, tightly closed. To the left, there was light, cussing, and smoke coming from that way, and the frame held no door. I made my way to the opening and looked past it. Heather, was standing in front of a pan of something smoldering on the table, a metallic smell filling the air with the smoke. Overhead vents were going at full force helping cut through and get rid of the fumes. “Is everything alright?” I asked her. “No, it’s not.” She had tears in her eyes. “I fucked up the recipe and mixed the measurements for the cocoa powder and flour. My boss is going to kill me. Do you know how expensive cocoa powder is?!” I shrugged, “not really.” “Well neither did I till a second ago when I looked it up.” She looked like she was going to hurl. “I need this job. I just got it last month and need to keep it. I can’t fuck up my first shift by myself. The morning baker has already left for the day, and I have no fucking clue how to fix this.” I stepped forward into the kitchen area. “Maybe they’re not that bad. Here, I’ll try a bite.” I bravely reached for a piece of the brownie after she managed to get a slice. Wincing slightly at the metallic scent of too much chocolate, I plopped it into my mouth. “Is it okay?” Heather asked hopefully. I tried to keep it in my mouth, but it was too much. The clogging taste of burnt chocolate began to coat the inside of my mouth, like a battery had exploded in there. I frantically searched for something to help, spotting a three bay sink in the back, I launched myself at it in desperation. “Blehhh!” I hurled the abomination of evil into the sink, scrambling for the tap. Blindly grabbing around, I was finally able to turn it on. Water shot out of the spout forcefully, drenching my head. I turned my head to the side, opening my mouth to take in gulp after gulp of water. God, that was awful, but I tried to smile at Heather as she watched me. “I knew it was fucked up.” She hung her head, looking defeated. “Hey, I’m sure there is something you can do with the rest of the batter.” I said, trying to cheer her up. I never liked seeing a girl cry, but damn they were awful. “Do you have the recipe?” “I’m not supposed to show anyone outside of the bakery it.” “I’m sure for today, the owner would understand.” Heather showed me a book on the counter. “Here it is..” I read over the ingredients quickly. Gosh, if she had followed this right, they would have been some amazing brownies. “How many more trays were you going to make in that batter?” “Just a half of a sheet.” “Alright; if you do this here and add all of this; you should be able to make four full sheets.” Heather’s face fell. “I’m never going to be able to sell all of those.” “Yes you will; I’ll buy them.” “Don’t do that on my account. I will just have to let the owner know, and hopefully she wont get too mad.” Heather sighed. “No, I insist. Just do two pans of plain, one walnut, one turtle. Trust me, my gang will eat every morsel.” I was insistent. “Gang? Oh, so is it the motorcycle guys who just came into town?” “The one and the same.” “Huh, I thought you all would be intimidating monsters covered in leather.” “Well, you have the leather part down alright.” I said with a laugh to myself. The leather jacket I had on was slightly damp still from the sink. “But most of us just don’t really like being tied down by a pack. We prefer the open road, being close to nature, that type of thing.” “Oh; that sounds pretty nice.” Heather hesitated for a second, “Alpha Scott said that your lot was just bad news, but you seem pretty decent.” I scoffed, “Nah, I was just raised with manners, most of them are a bunch of hooligans.” Heather had begun mixing the ingredients for the brownies, I watched as she got the ruined batter and pored half into one bowl and then devided the rest between two more bowls. “If you’d like, there are some chairs out in the store area, you’re more than welcome to wait out there if you’d like.” I looked at the time; it was one o’clock. From what I remembered from my time in alpha training, reviewing papers and the breaking of a bond usually took about three to four hours. “Actually I have somewhere to be, how long will the brownies take?” “Ah; a little longer than that with some cooling.” “I don’t plan on being in town that long, plus I really don’t have room on my bike for all of the brownies. Is there anywhere around here that does deliveries for food orders?” “Well, not really; but I could deliver them for you after my shift if you’d like. You know, as a thank you.” “That’s awful kind of you, if you’re sure it’s not a bother.” “It’s no problem at all, plus I have an ulterior motive. I can smell my fated mate on you, and hopefully I can meet him.” I had stopped and chatted with a few of the guys before leaving for Alpha Scott’s, so I didn’t know who it would be. “Well, we’re staying outside of town at an old farmhouse. I’ll let my second know you’ll be stopping by later; he’ll make sure no one bothers you.” I wrote down the address on a peace of paper she handed me. “In the meantime; I’ll take the turtle brownies you have in the case out there to go for now.” After spending a hefty chuck of change on brownies, I decided to sit and enjoy the few I got for myself for a minute before walking back to my bike. I could see a figure walking up from the pack house, getting closer to the bakery; the feminine curves captivating in the midday sun. When the person was close enough to me they paused as both of us made eye contact. My heart skipped a beat for a second as Melody took in the sight of me sitting there eating my brownies. “Fuck.” She got out before clothing exploded around her, her wolf dive-bombing me.Melody’s POV I was aghast with myself; trying desperately to get my wolf back under control, but the animal side of me was not having it. It kept on licking and sniffing Teddy making him laugh. “Calm down, beautiful girl. I think your human side is angry with you.” His voice seemed to have some effect on my beast, soothing it. I was soon able to reel her in and take over, but when I did, I realized all of my clothing was shredded behind me. Ah dammit! Now what am I going to do? I couldn’t shift back naked in the middle of the city! I rooted around the pile of rags, looking for something wearable, but to no avail. “Can I help you, Melody?” Teddy reached toward me. I growled at his outstretched hand, making him hesitate. “I would never hurt you, beautiful.” I huffed in exasperation, hopefully he wouldn’t take advantage of me in this state. Rooting around again, I found my purse and nudged it to him. He got the message and picked it up. Looking around in it, he brought out my wal

Melody’s POV I trotted up the steps of my house, and waited for Teddy. At least I knew a little bit about this male now, but I still didn’t like the fact that I had to rely on him right at this moment. I hated to admit it, but I secretly hoped that he saw me shift, if only to get a reaction from him, but he seemed to be the perfect gentleman. I thought I had smelled arousal on him for a second, but I could have been wrong. When he opened the door for me, I quickly made it inside and yipped at him, hopefully he got the message to stay. I looked around, making sure that the curtains were drawn tight, then shifted back into my human form. That was so embarrassing I thought to myself. I hadn’t lost full control of my wolf since I was ten. Most werewolf books I had read for humans were wrong in the department of werewolves getting their wolf at a certain age. We were always born with our wolf. It is a part of is, so it is always there. What triggers the shift usually is hormonal. Fo
Melody’s POV Turning off the alarm, I crawled out of bed and headed for the shower, another steamy dream leaving me wanting. Normally I was up by three; at the bakery by four thirty, prepping for the day. It felt weird to be getting up so late on a Monday. After the cold shower, I went down stairs to the kitchen. I had prepped the dough for the donuts yesterday and had put it in the fridge to slowly rise for this morning. I cut and shaped them into various sizes; classic, twisted, and filled. I saved the holes from the classic to make some bites out of them. I let them rest as I prepped the oil for frying. Once they were fried and the classic glazed while they were warm, I let the others cool off. The twists I dusted with cinnamon and sugar. The filled I put a vanilla custard in the center and topped them with leftover caramel icing from the cupcakes Saturday. After all was said and done, I had two dozen to bring with me to the pack house. Alpha Scot
Melody’s POV After everything I did for Mike, for him to pull this stunt really was the one thing that broke my heart. He knew how much the business meant to me, and to jeopardize it in such a fashion was really the last straw. I spent the rest of the day going through the house and getting the rest of Mike’s things, which wasn’t much after his clothing. It was like he just moved in and left things as they were, not even making his own mark. The only place that really was almost all his was the basement, where his home gym set up was. Movers came by at six that evening with a list from the lawyer what they would be taking and I directed them where to go. It took them two hours just to get the exercise machines from the basement. After all was said and done I was exhausted and worn out. I went to the living room and sat down on a wingback chair, snacking on some macarons from Monday. Looking back on everything, I should have saw the signs of M
Melody’s POV “I told you the other day on the phone, stop calling me Babe.” I had requested mediated phone calls that week as I had gotten the layer to set up today for Mike to get his things. “You can come into the living room until the lawyer gets here; but that’s it” Mike huffed and shoved past me into the house. The living room was small, but cozy. One wall was covered in wooden bookshelves, and the other a fireplace with a television mounted above it. The third wall had a picture window that looked out at the street. Mike sat in the winged back chair and looked to me. “How has your week gone, Mells?” Mike attempted small talk, sensing the tension in the air. “Fine, except for the fact that my husband fucked who I thought was my best friend of three years.” I spit out husband like the word was poisoned. Mike flinched at the bite in my voice. “Erm, uh, well I’m happy to hear that you’re doing okey…” After another few minutes of both of us sitting i
