Chapter 3: she dialed the wrong number.

'Butler John, answer the other person; she dialed the wrong number.' With absolutely no intention of satisfying anyone's curiosity, Damian Desmond took a napkin, elegantly wiped his mouth, and stood up, 'Everyone eat slowly; I have work to do upstairs first.'

'Damian, wait...' Mrs. Sandra Desmond hurried to stop her son, but unfortunately, her son's footsteps did not stop for a second.

'I have work tonight, too.' Mr. Matthew Desmond stood up, 'Loona, eat slowly; tell the driver to take you home later.'

'Something to do? What else can you do?' Mrs. Sandra Desmond looked at her husband with ironic eyes, and Mr. Matthew Desmond, for his wife's taunts, did not take it to heart and walked away.

On the long dining table, there were still many dishes left untouched, and the two women each had the same unhappy mood; Mrs. Sandra Desmond is because of the indifference of her son and husband, and Loona Richart is because of the two suitcases and the strange phone call.

Who is that girl, after all?

Damian Desmond returned to his room and found two suitcases beside the sofa; without his permission, the maid dared not open and prepare them at will.

He slowly walked over to the sofa and sat down, his long slender legs resting on top of each other, his hand reaching for a pack of cigarettes, pulling out a cigarette, and then turning his eyes to the other two suitcases.

Light smoke drifted in front of his eyes; what he looked at was the suitcase, but what appeared in his mind was the figure of the girl he met at the airport this afternoon.

So many years have passed, and she is still the same as before, afraid that he can't even look straight in the eye or doesn't want to look directly.

Do not want!

In this world, daring not to look directly at him when talking, she seemed the only one.

I don't know if it's because her liver is too small or too big.

What does this suitcase contain? What was so important that she was so scared that she took the initiative to call the Desmonds' house? Thinking of this, he took a deep breath of the cigarette, one hand tapping the suitcase lightly as if thinking.

If Norman was also in Singapore, it was unlikely that she would call.

But if she heard butler John say she dialed the wrong number, she would probably wait until Norman returned home and then ask him to come and get it.

Are you two always together after all these years in a foreign country?

He half-closed his eyes, and the hand resting on the sofa also retracted; after a few minutes, he opened his eyes, stood up, and turned to go to the bathroom.

Because the luggage can't be retrieved temporarily, Puddy Forger and Fiona Forger have a conflict, and because of this, Puddy refuses to go to the kitchen.

Mother and daughter both ate food ordered from outside and glared at each other; Puddy finished eating and went back to his room; all he could do was use the old laptop that he looked at, which was not pleasing to his eyes, to chat webcam with the two Selena Otis brothers in London. Fiona Forger knew they were out of control, finished cleaning the table, returned to the living room, turned on the TV, and lazily buried themselves on the sofa playing online games.

While playing excitedly, news coming from the television entered her ear and caught her attention.

"...Breaking news, after today's close, the stock price of Forger Corporation has fallen another three thousand points, once famous, but if Forger Corporation cannot find other sources of investment or aid, then it is very likely to face many risks because, after today's session, many investors were selling their stocks.

... Particularly, Lancom Group, an independent subsidiary separated from Forger Group because it has just successfully cooperated with one of the giants in the real estate industry in France; the stock price has continuously increased; temporarily, there are no signs of cooling down.

... This is related to the hidden love of the internal battle between father and son..."

With a 'click,' without waiting for the editor to finish, the remote in Fiona Forger's hand slipped and fell.

This is the reason why she had to bring her son back from Melbourne.

Forger Corporation was pushed into such a difficult situation because of the civil war between her father and her half-brother, and she did not know if there was any other hidden love.

She only knew that the relationship between her father and his half-brother, whose face was always hard to stare at, was always cold to the extreme. Two people in the dark and the morning had been fighting for ten years. Finally, her brother and a relative on the outside pulled some of the most profitable subsidiaries of the Forger Corporation apart, creating a completely Lancom Corporation completely independent; so to speak, the Forger Corporation today is just an empty shell.

Her father fell ill because of this, and her sister and half-brother naturally stood on the same front; until today, the Forger family is left with only Fiona Forger, who has never been treated before. How much grace does not have that much talent?

Her father hasn't come to the company for a few days; if the Forger family continues not to show up, the stock price will continue to fall; if it can't be maintained for a few days, it will be forced to stop trading. That is to say, the Forger family's life-long passion will be poured into the sea because of that.

That's why her mother kept urging her to return, for better or worse; she was a significant shareholder in the company besides her father, although the Forger Corporation was now almost empty.

But, faced with such a dire situation, what could she do? And most importantly, she didn't know when she became a company shareholder.

In the past years abroad, she secretly gave birth to a son; this matter in the house was not known, and over the past few years, the lives of mother and daughter were both shouldered by Norman Desmond, who said he was the "father" of the family.

But we can't let him carry this Forger family anyway, can we? Since his divorce, her father has listed Norman Desmond on the blocklist; even if he wanted to help, he would not be able to save this company from the brink of bankruptcy even if he wanted to help.

If it were before, with the status of the young master of the Desmond family, this would not be impossible for Norman Desmond, only he had a harsh temper and turned against his family because of the divorce. After that, I don't want to go back.

Of course, his income is not ordinary as a famous photographer, but this is a tremendous amount of money.

While she was thinking, her phone suddenly rang. Looking at the name on the screen, Fiona Forger sighed reluctantly and pressed listen; before she could speak, her mother's sugar-sweet voice said, 'Fiona Forger, it's not that you're coming back today, Singapore?'

'I'm back.'

'Then why don't you go home? Where are you now? Why don't you call me? It's really...' Her mother had just heard that her daughter was back when she rambled on and on.

'Mom, I just got back from the airport; I'm staying at my friend's house; I'll be back tomorrow morning.' Fiona Forger said weakly.

'Who?' Her mother said mercilessly, 'Male or female?'

Not Mrs. Olivia inquired about private matters; only she knew, before that, before going abroad, Fiona Forger had never had a friend so close that she would go to the other's house to stay overnight, let alone say anything Fiona has been out of Singapore for six years, of course, she has to ask for clarity.

Haizz, if that year her daughter got married, now for better or for worse, she was the Desmond family's daughter-in-law, with the Desmond family's back, the Forger Corporation wouldn't have fallen into the same situation as it is now.

The more she thought about it, the more emotional she felt.

Male! In her head, Fiona Forger didn't want to say too much over the phone, 'Mom, I'm so tired; come home tomorrow and talk later. Just take good care of Dad.'

After that, she hung up the phone and turned it off, deciding to get a good night's sleep and then calculate later.

But she went to bed tossing and turning for a long time and still couldn't sleep, not because she thought about the house, but because she wondered how to get the other two suitcases back from Damian Desmond.

Otherwise, she will lose his son's treasured tablet; he will go crazy. But how to get it back?

Can't call the Desmonds' house; should she see him in person?

***

The following day, at eight o'clock, Fiona Forger was still dreaming in bed, unable to wake up; at this time, the door to the room was pushed open, a small head wearing a cap turned upside down, big eyes looking around the inner circle room, when he discovered that the person lying on the bed did not make any movement, he frowned slightly, his tiny legs used strength to swing up, kicking the room door open.

Immediately, a light brown shadow leaped in, in a great posture, jumped onto the bed, and began to launch a saliva attack on the person lying on the bed.

'Xu, come down!' Huddled in the blanket, the girl lazily said, while the veil was turned over, a pair of hands reached out from inside, trying to hug the person on the bed, 'Good morning, Puddy!'

Unfortunately, the other hands grabbed into the air, and Puddy moved too quickly and disappeared.

'Hey, why don't you show any respect?' While whispering, pulling the blanket over her face, Fiona Forger decided to go back to sleep.

'Don't you think kissing you without brushing your teeth is dirty?' Puddy Forger made a sneer and pulled the blanket with his hand, "It's almost eight o'clock; the youngest has an appointment with you at nine. Your mission today is to get the tablet for me.'

Having thrown that sentence back, the boy looked at his beloved dog and whistled, 'Xu, let's go out for breakfast.'

Then one man and one dog decisively left.

'Luggage, go home...'

Fiona Forger mutters a sentence; if possible, she wants to hide under the blanket forever.

Puddy Forger entered the kitchen, and the dog Xu excitedly hovered around the boy's feet.

'Xu, wait in the living room.' The boy leaned down and patted the pet dog's head.

Xu is a Poodle-like dog that he has raised for three years, intelligent and very obedient; hearing the owner say that, he quickly shook his small tail and turned his head to the living room.

Puddy Forger poured dog food into a separate bowl and brought it to Xu, then returned to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator to take out his clothes, rolled up his sleeves, and mastered washing tomatoes and cucumbers; his body was tiny but active. It's really no different from adults.

The boy held a specialized knife slowly and focused on cutting freshly washed tomatoes and cucumbers, while two slices of bread also jumped out of the toaster very quickly, the first steps of the meal. The morning was prepared.

Haizz, there is a mother who is too clumsy in the kitchen and only has to work hard to do it herself!

***

Fiona Forger, even if she didn't want to come, just obediently got out of bed, after washing her face and combing her hair, changed into a white shirt with tiny flowers printed on it and a long black dress, her lengthy hair was high columns to the back, at first glance young and beautiful.
