Chapter 8 – Ideas

I was moving every inch of my body with the music. I don’t care about my surroundings now, I just want to have fun.

Josh put his hands on my waist and I smiled to him. I danced with him, completely enjoying the music and just forgetting about work and things that I normally worried about. I circled my arms around him and he smirked. His eyes completely showing that he’s enjoying this.

Suddenly I was shoved by Rose and my eyes widen.

“You’re in a really dipshit my friend.” She said and pulled me out from the club.

“What?” I asked her completely clueless. She pulled me to her car. I got into her car and looked at her confuse.

“What’s with you?” I asked and she started her car. She stepped on the gas and drove out from the club.

“Rose!”

“Do you realize that your date almost kill Josh along with you? Thank God that I got you out.” Rose said and my eyes widen.

“Aaron?”

“Thank God, Jean was looking at your way.”

“What happen exactly?” I asked her still confuse with the situation.

“He didn’t like the idea of you flirting with Josh while you’ve been rejecting him all the time.”

“So what happen with Aaron?”

“Jean stopped him and asked me to get you before you get his wrath.”

“I was dancing and enjoying.” I sighed.

“Well it won’t be fun again if he’s mad.”

“What’s with him anyway? He can find other girls to dance or to sleep with.” I hissed annoy.

“It’s called an ATTRACTION, Sophia.” She emphasized the ‘attraction’ word. I knew that too well.

“What should I do then?”

“Go home to LA the first thing in the morning. Now, you have to avoid him even though I know sooner or later he will get you again” Rose said.

“Why is that bastard trying to hit on me when I’m clearly not interested?”

“That’s why he’s interested, Sophia. For him you’re a challenge.” She said with a  sad tone.

“Damn it!” I hissed and suddenly my phone rang. I took it out from my bag. Rose literally brought my bag out too.

“Hey Cole.” I answered the call.

“When will you come home, Sophia?” He asked me.

“Tomorrow morning.”

“I need the price list of the new product, give me the file tomorrow at the office. Dad wants to send you to France and take care of a couple things there.” He said with a stressful sigh.

“Will do.”

“This is not the time for vacation, Sophia.”

“Got it.” I answered so he won’t get mad. He enede the call and I bet there must be something happened. I knew his tone too well.

“What happen?” Rose asked.

“It seems something happen with my company or the deal. I have to get back now.” I turned to her.

“I’ll take you to the airport. Book your flight now.” She said and I opened my phone right away. I booked the nearest time from now which it 3 hours away. We arrived at the hotel and then I took my luggage quick.

“Calm down, we still got time.” She said as I got into her car again.

“I can’t, I can’t be calm because of 2 things.” I nervously play with my fingers.

“What?”

“Aaron and my brother.”

“So Aaron is on the list?” She asked in a teasing tone.

“He’s annoying, okay?” I rolled my eyes and she chuckled.

“Let me tell you.. He will get you, Sophia. He has a charm that will pull you to him. I don’t know when or how he will go to get you but trust me he will.” She said and I can’t help but look at her in horror.

“Crap.” I hissed.

On our way to the airport, we talked about a lot of things. Work, friends, college and talked a little about our old days. It has been fun to catch up with Rose.

“I’ll see you soon?” She said and I hugged her.

“I’ll call you again if I comeback here.” I said and she nodded.

“Then I’ll call you if I go to LA.” I gave her a thumbs up.

“Go.. before you miss you flight.” She smacked my butt and waved at me. I waved back at her and entered the airport quickly. I checked in my luggage and ran inside to get my security check.

I took out my phone and unmute it. I muted it because I need to pass the check-in and security first. I was shocked to see 20 missed calls and it’s all from asshole. I decided to unmute it again after seeing Aaron called me.

“Why is he calling me?” I looked at the time, he was constantly calling me.

My phone vibrated and my eyes widen to see Aaron’s name on the screen. I was shocked until I almost dropped my phone. I don’t want to answer the call because he might kill me or things like that. I shouldn’t have gone to that Charity Conference.

I got a really bad luck.

No.. No.. Sophia, you idiot. The Charity was a really good project and it helps a lot of people but I lose my ring and met Aaron along the way. That’s the bad luck. I sighed when I remembered my ring.

I hate the fact the Aaron will come to me again. That asshole will hunt me down and I hate it. I need to get him hate me.

Oh… I remembered that he hated how the blondie act. I need to act annoying so he will shove me away. I really need to do that.

Yes, Sophia. I bet Aaron will hate me.
