The Reception

We are now inside the van on the way to the hotel, and I still feel anxious for unknown reasons. Why do I keep feeling that something bad would happen anytime?

“Babe, are you okay?” Cameron asked me as he holds my hand. I turned to him and smiled.

“I am okay. Don’t worry.”

“Are you sure? You look anxious.”

“I am okay. Don’t worry about me.” I tried to calm myself down and change the topic. “Look at my shoes. My brothers gifted it to me earlier. Do you know how much this is? It’s more or less fifty-million! They bought it from an auction! I still can’t believe they did that.”

“Really? Well, I can’t blame them. They would, of course, prepare the best gift for their only and older sister. Fifty-million is a just a cent for them compared on how much they love you.”

“Love me? Tsk, they could have just given me a simple designer shoes and I would still appreciate it. They literally participated in an auction just for the shoes.”
