I carried Cora in my arms out of the garden. What I had planned to be a special moment ended up being ruined by the scum who called himself her husband. I could see Cora's pain, just as I could see that she was trying really hard not to break down.

I passed my car and walked over to hers. "Where are your keys?" I asked.

"In my bag," She replied.
