Meazus and Deanna sat on a special sofa for newlyweds. They did nothing but watch the guests, who seemed very happy to meet their friends at the party.
“Where are you taking me? I heard your house isn't in this city.” Deanna started the conversation because she was very curious about her life after marrying Meazus.
“We're going to Twilight Pack to have the blessing ceremony according to their customs,” Meazus replied without looking at Deanna.
“Is Twilight Pack your hometown?”
Meazus was too lazy to explain about Twilight Pack to Deanna; perhaps she would understand once they went there later that night.
“Have you packed your things?” Meazus asked, now turning his head toward Deanna.
“I've packed my things. We can also leave for your hometown from here; there's no need to come to my house again.”
“That's good.”
At the same moment, Sean looked at Deanna from his seat. The man felt he should be there instead of Meazus. Sean and Deanna were supposed to get married this month, but Sean’s affair caused their wedding to be canceled.
Sean’s heart was completely shattered seeing the woman he loved marrying another man, but Sean also had to take responsibility for his foolish actions that night.
Selisa slipped her fingers into Sean’s large hand. The pregnant woman felt jealous as Sean looked at his older sister.
“A pregnant woman is very sensitive to what she sees, so don’t make me jealous. You’re my fiancé, so you can only look at me.”
Sean sighed softly. Yes, he did have to take full responsibility for his actions toward Selisa.
“I'm sorry.”
“You apologize too often.”
“I don't know what else to say besides apologize. We shouldn't have done that, I—”
Selisa gripped Sean's hand tightly to stop him from continuing. Selisa also felt guilty toward Deanna, but it was already too late.
“Don't bring this up again, especially in front of others. Anyone could overhear our conversation,” Selisa whispered.
Sean nodded, and his gaze remained vacant throughout the party. Several times, Deanna and Sean's eyes met, but Deanna chose to look away.
“Say your request again before we go to Twillight Pack.”
Meazus’ words made Deanna furrow her brow. “Again? I’ve never asked you for anything.”
“An apartment in the city center? A car? Didn’t you ask for them as conditions for marrying me?”
Deanna grew more confused by Meazus’ words. “I never asked for an apartment or a car.”
Suddenly, Deanna's gaze fell on her parents, who were smiling at the invited guests. Deanna recalled her father's words before they entered the wedding room, saying that Meazus was very wealthy.
“They sold my name to profit from Meazus. Are they even worthy of being called parents?” Deanna asked, clenching her fists.
“I’ve already given you an apartment in the city center and a car. Your parents requested those things before the wedding took place. So, do you have any other requests?”
Deanna shook her head in response to Meazus’ question. “No, thank you. The apartment and car are more than enough.”
“Say goodbye to your parents. You won’t see them again for two years.”
At first, Zoan asked them to rest at the hotel and continue their journey to Twilight Pack tomorrow, but Meazus refused the offer, saying that the full moon would rise tonight.
They would leave, even though they were still wearing their wedding clothes. Besides, it would only take three hours to reach Twilight Pack from here once they entered the forest.
Deanna nodded slowly and walked toward her parents to ask for permission.
Rina and Deanna faced each other. “You must be a good wife because Meazus is a good husband. You must not defy your husband and must follow all the rules in his house.”
The woman still wearing the white dress seemed too lazy to argue or respond to Rina's words with a long sentence. She wanted to leave this city as soon as possible, whether her life would be better or even worse.
“You can come back to this house whenever you want.”
Deanna smiled faintly and thought to herself that she would not return to their house. Deanna was also certain that the apartment and car they had requested from Meazus would be given to Selisa.
Deanna knew that if she married Sean, they would rent an apartment because Sean’s savings weren’t enough to buy a house. Deanna and Sean also planned to postpone having children if they married because the costs required for a baby were very high.
But Selisa and Sean already had a child. Sean’s savings might be used for their baby’s needs, while Sean didn’t need to save anything for an apartment or a car.
Deanna reached out her hand toward Selisa and Sean. “You two should be happy.”
“Thank you,” Selisa replied awkwardly.
Sean also reached for Deanna's outstretched hand and gently held the beautiful woman's hand. A grip still filled with love. “You should be happy too, Deanna. You deserve to be happy.”
Those words meant a lot to Deanna. Would she be happy? No one knew the answer to that. Deanna and Meazus eventually decided to leave before the party had truly ended.
“The party isn't over yet, why do we have to leave so soon?” Deanna asked as they got into the car. Deanna and Meazus were in the second row. The first row was occupied by the driver and Beta Zoan.
“We have an event after this,” Meazus replied as he opened his white jacket.
“An event in your hometown?”
“Yes.”
Deanna felt extremely sore all over her body. Some hairpins were also poking her scalp. The woman wanted to lie down for a few minutes, but she couldn't do that because there was a traditional event in Meazus's hometown after this.
The woman furrowed her brow as they began entering the forest. At first, she thought they were looking for a shortcut to Meazus's hometown called Twilight Pack, but the longer they traveled, the deeper they went into the forest.
“Where are we actually going?” Deanna asked, looking out the car window.
“Didn’t I already say we’re going to Twilight Pack?” Meazus asked, now leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed.
Zoan looked at Deanna through the car’s rearview mirror and answered her question gently. “We’re going to Twilight Pack, and this is the path we have to take to get there. Don’t be afraid.”
Meazus opened his eyes slightly to see Zoan's smile in the rearview mirror. A few hours later, the car they were riding in finally arrived at a palace called Twilight Pack.
Deanna entered the tall main gate, which was guarded by several large dogs. Deanna furrowed her brow. “Are those dogs?”
Zoan looked at Deanna through the rearview mirror and smiled sweetly again. “They're wolves.”
“Wolves?!”
“Yeah.”
“Can they roam freely here? Is this place immune to wolf bites?”
Zoan looked at Meazus through the rearview mirror, but the alpha was still leaning back calmly with his eyes closed.
“You don't know anything about the Twilight Pack?” Zoan asked softly.
“I don't know. I thought it was just a regular hometown. I didn't know if there were any hometowns that allowed these wild animals to roam around like dogs.”
Zoan was a bit awkward explaining this, but it seemed Meazus hadn't told Deanna anything about his identity. “Everyone here is a werewolf, Deanna.”
“We-werewolf?!” Deanna asked, widening her eyes. “Then you—”
Zoan answered softly so Deanna wouldn't think they were bad people. "We're also werewolves. Alpha Meazuz is the leader of the Twilight Pack, while I am a beta. You can call me Beta Zoan. There's no need to be afraid; we won't hurt you, and you'll soon understand the identities of everyone in the Twilight Pack."
The car they were riding in stopped at a very large palace. Several women lined up in front of the car door and greeted them. Several men walked toward the second car to carry Deanna and Meazus's luggage.
Deanna and Meazus would stay here until tomorrow, then return to the city where Meazus lived. It was getting dark, probably around nine o'clock at night.
“You still have time to shower and have dinner. After that, you must return to the sacred room to meet the Moon Goddess.” Meazus said this in a harsh tone.
“Moon Goddess?”
Deanna and Meazus's door was opened from the outside, and the alpha immediately got out of the car without answering Deanna's question. The woman still couldn't make sense of all the explanations from Zoan and Meazus. What was really happening here? Who was Meazus really?
Were they pranking her? It didn't seem like it!
Deanna got out of the car, followed by three women who loyally followed her from behind. They also showed Deanna the way into the room.
“Where is Meazus?” Deanna asked as she entered the spacious room, but she didn't find her husband there.
“Alpha Meazus requested a different room from you, Luna,” one of the women following Deanna answered while closing the door.
"Aren't we a married couple? Why are we separated?"
“I don't know, Luna. We're just following Alpha Meazus' orders.”
Deanna sat down weakly by the bed. It seemed she had to think twice about making Meazus fall in love with her. The man didn't even want to share a room with his wife.
“I'm curious about the face of the woman who made Meazus fall in love like this.”
“What did he say to you?”Deanna didn't answer anything as her brain was processing what had happened a few minutes ago.“Sorry, Luna. What's this?” asked Cersa who reached her hand towards her forehead. “Why is your scalp bleeding, Luna?”Deanna turned her face towards the mirror and saw that the blood from her scalp had flowed down to her forehead.“Did Sharena do it? You should tell this to Alpha Meazus, Luna.” Cersa swiftly cleaned the wound from Deanna's scalp to prevent it from being infected by germs.Did Deanna have the right to tell this to Meazus? Isn't Sharena the woman he loves? Surely Meazus would defend Sharena even if she was wrong. Then what's the point of complaining?“Keep this a secret from anyone. I hope only the four of us know about what happened tonight. Please.”Deanna's voice sounded weak and the three omegas could only follow her request. Deanna ate the food that the two omegas had provided with gusto because she had not eaten anything since this afternoon.A
“I'll help you take off your clothes, Luna.”“Don't call me Luna. My name is Deanna.”“You'll be Luna of Twilight Pack soon. So we have to call you Luna.”“Soon?”One of the omegas nodded as he asked permission to unzip Deanna's wedding dress from behind. “Soon the full moon will appear and you will be blessed by the Moon Goddes to become Luna of Twilight Pack.”“There's another blessing ceremony? Is Moon Goddes some kind of priestess?” asked Deanna who was still confused.“Moon Goddes is a goddess who will certify you as Luna of Twilight Pack. The three of us are special servants for you during your time in the Twilight Pack. So if you need anything, you can call the three of us, Luna.”Deanna thought hard about this definition of Luna. It probably meant the same as a princess or queen in a kingdom. But Deanna wasn't too sure about that.“The warm water is ready. You can soak and I'll rub your back.”Deanna usually scrubbed her own back when bathing and now she had 'someone' to scrub

Meazus was very handsome, but Deanna's heart still didn't race as a sign of falling in love. Meazuz felt the same way; he knew Deanna was very beautiful but had no intention of falling in love with her.Deanna let go of her father's hand and walked toward Meazuz. The man with lake-green eyes could hypnotize Deanna in just a few seconds. His gaze was sharp and cold, yet incredibly beautiful.“It seems like he doesn't like me,” Deanna thought to herself as she averted her eyes from Meazus.“Do you accept Deanna as your wife?” the priest asked, standing between Meazus and Deanna.“Yes, I do.”Deanna was asked the same question and gave the same answer as Meazus. The alpha was asked to place the ring on Deanna's finger, and vice versa.“The groom is permitted to kiss the bride as a legally married couple.”Deanna and Meazus paused for a moment, as they had never made any physical contact besides gazing at each other. Meazus leaned in without hesitation and gently kissed Deanna's forehead.
“You have to take responsibility for me!“ Deanna shouted while crying. The woman hit Meazus several times right in front of the company's main door. The two people standing behind Meazus now stepped forward to hold Deanna's hands.”Are you pregnant?” Meazus asked expressionlessly.Deanna held back her tears for a few seconds, but did not answer the question from the man wearing a black suit. Many people were passing by near them, and some stopped to watch the argument from a distance.Meazus put both hands in the pockets of his linen pants. “I'll ask again, are you pregnant?”Deanna clenched her fists and glared back at Meazus. “I'm not pregnant, but I'm not a woman who's paid to satisfy your desires! I—”“Come back to this company and see me if you're pregnant.” Meazus cut Deanna off and walked toward the car that was already parked for him.Deanna's wrists, which had been gripped by the two large men, were now released. “If you think reporting this to the police will solve the probl
