Chapter 65

"What?" Emily lashed out and both of the friends tightened their fingers on each other's hands. "Why would she do that? She has been like a family for many years," Emily roared and Nik's attempts to stop her mother didn't show any effect.

Lily looked at Emily, through her weak eyes. 'Am I not a family? She didn't even care about me when she came and even when I was leaving, she didn't even check how I was.' Lily felt horribly dejected that the person whom she thought of as a mother didn't seem to give the motherly vibes anymore.

"Lily, I agree that you are a family too, but Cherry has been our family friend and I completely trust her that she wouldn't hurt anyone, especially our family," Emily told Lily and that was the first sentence she spoke to a patient. She then turned to Nik, "Why were you scolding her? Do you think that Cherry would hurt Lily, don't you know about her?" she fumed at her son.

Nik gave a nod, "It's Cherry that asked a few girls to hurt Lily."
