Chapter 20

I arrived at Hardy's villa, exhausted.

And of course, I was given that same pill that made me drowsy and then made me sleep during the entire jet ride.

And despite the drugs and getting enough sleep on my way back, I was still extremely sleepy when I got back to the villa, and immediately after dinner I fell asleep again..

I woke up during nighttime, my room almost dark, and only lit up dimly thanks to the small amber colored light above my mirror table.

My heart skipped a beat when I noticed someone's silhouette seated at the edge of my bed.

A male's silhouette to be precise.

I got on my feet, ready to go turn on the lights, but Hardy's voice stopped me right on my tracks.

"Don't bother." He had said and I found myself moving back towards my bed and sitting down again, pulling the thick blanket over my body.
