Sophia's POV

I walked out of the Blackwood's premises, headed to the car, I opened the door and closed immediately. I sat in the driver's seat. I reached out for my phone inside my bag, and I tapped the screen on and I gazed at the number wondering who it was, “I shouldn't have left Damian's office,” I said, hitting on the steering and lamenting, it was just a call. On the second thought I didn't want to pick the call in Damian's presence but I would have turned off the phone, I quickly dialed Damian's number. “How about we schedule another interview?” I said, when he had picked on the first ring. “Sure, maybe at my place this time, you come during the weekend right?” He asked and I swallowed hard, his house? I thought to myself, “Okay, Mr Damian, I will see to that.” I said smiling while staring at the windscreen, The call ended and I turned on the ignition and reversed to drive out of the premises.

“Hey bestfriend,” Claire said almost whispering, when she saw me walk into the J.B b

  • Billionaire's Dark veil    Chapter 35- Mr. Wilson Blackwood's Party

Sophia's POV It was 9pm. Damian approached me, “The party's at the pool side, just behind the mansion,” He said softly, reaching out to take my hands and help me up. We walked side by side, he held me like a groom holding his bride, “You look beautiful Ms. Rivers.” He said, softly, I was stunned. Damian doesn't compliment people, “Yeah I know…” I said, while I avoided his eyes, trying to get back at him for what he’d done to me in the painting room. He looked at me, stunned by what I had said to him, “I just complimented you Elena.” He said tilting his head, “Oh Damian, come on that's a fact!” I said flat and sharp, I was amused by actions but still kept a mean face. I could see his eyes, the arrogant rich man had been insulted, I smiled at myself. We got to the pool side behind the mansion, a lot of guests were there already, some guests were sipping their drinks while some were engaged in a quiet conversation. Soft music played in the background by the pool side. I glanced around t

  • Billionaire's Dark veil    Chapter 34- Olivia Hart at The Wilson's Home

Sophia's POV The car stopped slowly in front of the very big mansion. It was Damian's father's mansion. I stared at the boldly written design on the building, ‘The Wilson's Home.’ It was large and beautiful, “I think we can come down now.” Damian said, pulling my focus back, “Yeah… right,” I stuttered. We stepped out of the car together, “Damian… how are you son?” An elderly man who had walked out of the building the moment he heard the car rushed to greet us, there were various cars parked outside in the mansion, it was an evening party. “Good evening Sir, Happy birthday.” I greeted with a smile across my face, “Evening, how are you? Thank you so much.” He replied smiling, while he pulled Damian into a hug. “Welcome Son, let's go in.” He said and we followed while he walked ahead of us.The party was an all red and black party, red for ladies, black for men and it would be starting by 9pm. Damian had gotten me a long, red dinner gown, He insisted on getting the dress, while he had a

  • Billionaire's Dark veil    Chapter 33- Victor's Dark humor

Sophia's POV It was 8pm already, and I had a long day of painting with Damian. “Maybe you should shower while I ask the maid to set the dining room for us to have dinner,” He said while he walked me into the guest room. “Sure, but I didn't come with…” He cut me off before I could finish, “Your clothes right, You can wear my shirt and I've got some free pants too,” He said, the tone calm and sharp. I stared at him in awe, he was being nice. “Alright,” I said and he left, shutting the door behind him. I quickly took off my clothes. I had my office wear still on, I hurriedly walked to the bathroom, I exhaled sharply as I sat on the WC. “What a day!” I said to myself as I entered the bathtub for a little Jacuzzi moments. “It's been a while,” I shouted in excitement as I began to fill the tub. “Elena,” Damian called out from the room, “I brought the clothes for you, while I ordered some house wears for you.” He added, and I nodded as if he was there with me, “Alright I'm coming.” I said

Sophia's POV I stole a glance at Damian while I sipped the coffee. The maid had interrupted when Damian had asked his question, he fixed his eyes on me, I quickly turned my gaze to wall paintings. It was a painting of something familiar, I fixed my eyes on it. It was a painting of my pendant, “You did this?” I asked, while I stood up, approaching the painting, my heart raced faster to escape his previous question, does he know about me and he's just pretending, I thought within myself while I ran my hand through the painting. “That's a similar pendant to yours,” He spoke, his voice cold and deep as usual. I turned, shifting my gaze to him, “How were you able to draw this?” I asked, my facial expression showed confusion. “It's been years since I did that painting, I painted it myself.” He replied, then stole a quick glance at me. “Years? But you asked me about this pendant at the hospital, remember.” I said sharply, “Emilia had this same pendant too.” He replied, his voice Icy and fla

Sophia's POV I came down the stairs, heading to the dining room. My steps were brisk, purposeful. “You finally came.” Damian's voice came, He was digging into his food slowly, and quietly. I swallowed hard and then my lips curved into a smile, I nodded in affirmation. “How do you feel now? You have to take some water first, you just woke up with your head spinning.” He said, stealing a glance at me while pouring some water into a glass cup. I stared at him, and collected the glass from him, “Thank you.” I said, while I gulped down the glass of water, “Have you ever been in love before?” He spoke, his words shooting through the silence in the dining room like a bullet, sudden, sharp, and impossible to ignore. I fixed my gaze to him, the only relationship I have now is with Hillary and it's a contract relationship, and I'm in love with Hillary, I began to reminisce on the night Hillary and I shared some intense moments together. “Elena,” He called me out of my deep thoughts, “Well no..
