His feet led him to the spacious garden. Despite the lively party music playing inside the house, the pounding of his heart was the loudest sound he heard now.

"Wow, it's beautiful, Theory!" Heather exclaimed as she opened the box.

"I know you love jewelry," said the guy, who was now holding the necklace to fit it around Heather's neck.

"Not really, but if it's from you, I'll surely love it." She touched the heart pendant, her happiness evident.

"What are you talking about? You told me that you loved jewelry when we were kids!" Theory tickled Heather until they were both laughing.

"I can't remember it, Theory," Heather gasped for breath, causing the young man to feel her warm breath on his neck.

No one knew that this would be the beginning of something special.

"Are you still single?" Theory asked, his voice filled with longing.

Heather looked into his eyes, a smile playing on her lips. "What?"

Theory inched closer, his hand gently brushing her hair. "Don't tell me you forgot our deal?"

Heather's heart raced as she whispered, "What deal?"

Theory began to speak, his words a tender caress. "Here, in this very place, 10 years ago, we made a promise before I left for Singapore."

Her laughter filled the air, a sweet melody that tugged at his heart. "That's crazy! Of course, I could never forget that."

Their faces drew nearer, their breaths mingling in the warm evening air. "So, are you still a virgin?" Theory asked, his voice barely audible.

"What? That's so... frank." Heather met his gaze, her eyes filled with a mixture of innocence and desire. "Yeah, how about you?"

A longing sigh escaped Theory's lips as he confessed, "Hell, yeah."

Their lips drew closer, the world around them fading into obscurity. "Did you reserve it just for me?" Heather asked, her voice a whisper that carried the weight of years of anticipation.

Theory smiled, a look of love and longing in his eyes. "Kinda..."

"Theory, do you have a girlfriend?" Heather's voice trembled with desire. She couldn't help but feel a surge of anticipation coursing through her veins as she looked up at him.

Atlas smirked, his eyes gleaming with lust. "If I fuck you now, you will be my first," he replied, his fingers trailing lightly along the curve of her waist.

Heather's heart raced in her chest as she hesitated for a moment. The weight of what Atlas had just said hung in the air, daring her to make a decision. She knew that giving in to temptation would be an intoxicating experience, one she had dreamt about for so long.

"I am true to my words, Theory," Heather replied, her voice dripping with desire and determination. "My feelings when we were kids didn't change. I'm willing to do my promise."

Without another word spoken between them, they surrendered themselves to the primal urge that had consumed them since childhood. The garden filled with the scent of sex and lustful desires as they thrust towards each other.

Atlas walked away, his heart shattered into a million pieces, the sounds of Heather's moans echoing in his ears. Unbeknownst to him, the bouquet of flowers he had brought for Heather lay abandoned on the ground.

Heather had lied.

A terrible, devastating lie.

She had falsely claimed to be a virgin, when in fact, she had already given herself to someone else, and that someone happened to be him. But if that lie would make her childhood best friend, Theory, happy she'd be up for it with no second thoughts. She had done it in the hope that this lie would bring her closer to fulfilling her deepest desires to Theory, even if it meant sacrificing everything, including the kind-hearted man named Atlas, whom she had just callously dumped.

With no strength left, and what little remained slowly draining away, Atlas was just a few steps away from his car, yet it felt like an insurmountable distance.

Meanwhile, before the heavy rain poured down, Theory and Heather had already made their way to the bedroom. They couldn't be stopped, their burning desires and hungry lips as they ascended the stairs, paying no mind to the partygoers in Theory's house.

The pounding rain outside didn't concern them, drowned out by the blaring party music that only fueled their passion, even as they indulged in party pills and various kinds of alcohol.

Atlas, standing outside, now had his eyes synchronized with the falling raindrops on his body. He had never felt this hurt before, and there was a sense of regret and self-loathing, not directed at the woman, but at himself.

If only he were born rich, a billionaire, perhaps Heather would have liked him. Even though he wanted to proudly declare to Heather that he was the new CEO of Daze Inc. after the late Mr. Connor, he knew deep down that this wealth didn't come from his sweat and blood. It had suddenly arrived and been entrusted to him, something he needed to nurture and grow.

Atlas had five minutes in the rain, drenched, lost in the roar of thunder and the flash of lightning. He was soaked when he finally got back into his car. He wasn't heading home, but to the nearest bar where he could drown his sorrows.

When he spotted the bar, he retrieved clothes from his car's compartment and quickly changed inside the vehicle. He put on briefs, pants, and a black T-shirt. He also wore shades and a black cap because he was no longer just an ordinary guy. He had a big name to protect-his own and the reputation of Mr. Connor and the company.

Meanwhile, as he was fully dressed, Heather and Theory were busy shedding their clothing. First came off their shirts, followed by their pants until they were both left in their underwear.
