Lance thought that they succeeded in the plan.

He asked Cyrus to come to the meeting place, and Jane said that she brought Haidee already.

“Now, all we need to do is to watch them in secret,” Lance murmured.

To do that, he had to hear from Jane about where they would meet.

Lance checked his phone with his right hand, while the other held the flashlight. Jane hasn’t replied to him yet.

The anxiousness kicked in.

‘What if something happened?’

Worrying about that, Lance picked up his pace. He ran towards the place where they would bring Cyrus and Haidee together. On his way, Lance saw the light coming to his side.

Is that Jane?

Covering his blinded sight, Lance asked, “Is that you? Jane?”

He approached the light and to his surprise, it wasn’t Jane whom he saw, but Haidee.

“H-Haidee,” he called.

“Lance,” Haidee gasped.

Lance looked around and noticed that Haidee was alone.

‘This is weird. By now, she should be with Cyrus!’ he exclaimed inwardly.

“Why are you a-alone?” he asked.
