Valerie Desmond was watering the bonsai tree inside her room when she heard the knocks from the door.

“Madam. It’s me, Gabriel.”

“Come in,” she allowed.

A man named Gabriel went inside her room.

“How is it? Did you find the woman behind the rumor about Cyrus?” she asked while sprinkling water on the plant.

Gabriel bowed his head to show respect. Then he answered, “I got the CCTV footage from the inauguration party. From the video, Madam can see the woman who Sir Cyrus approached with. Unfortunately, the woman’s name is cleverly hidden. It looks like the staff were told to keep their mouths shut.”

Valerie stopped what she was doing and then turned her head to Gabriel with stern stare. “You failed to buy the information with money?”

“I am sorry, Madam. I tried to offer them but it seems they are highly observed. And they feared losing their jobs. It seems Sir Eric already talked to them beforehand.”

“Eric? My son? Does it mean he directly invited that woman to the party?”
