Chapter Five

Alina returned to her cabin after completing a six-hour operation. It's quite risky but a positive ending. Her hectic schedule helped her to divert her mind from the event that happened last night. She doesn't want to get her mind disturbed by it. She silently gazed at the ring on her finger. It looks beautiful on her finger. A silent smile appeared on her face recalling the way Aaron proposed to her in front of the entire world. It's unexpected but quite touching. Then soon her smile vanished remembering her meeting with Leo. She still believes he behaved like that out of a drunken state. Who cares, he might have already returned to Washington now, it's better to concentrate on her life, at least now. Her thoughts are cut off by the phone ringtone.

"Hi, Aaron".

"Is my darling fiancee free to talk?"

"yeah, I'm free to talk".

"Great then, I'm on the way to discuss our wedding preparation ideas. See you in ten minutes".

Before she replied, he had already disconnected the call. She stared at the phone with little tension. Is he already planning the wedding? She can say everything happening with little rush. It's better to talk with Aaron about this, cause she doesn't want to hurt his feelings anyways. She texted her colleagues to hold her work for the next half an hour. She hopes her conversation with Aaron goes well.

"Isn't it beautiful? It will look beautiful on you".

Alina nervously smiles at Aaron, who cheerfully shows her new bridal dress collection. She finds the seat hot out of the tension, without knowing how to break the news to him. She feels it will be extremely rude to tell him that she is not ready to get married right now. Seeing his happy face, she has second thoughts about her speech.

" Let's plan the wedding ceremony indoors with our close relatives, it will be a little intimate without paparazzi. And for the reception, I'm thinking of arranging it on my private island in Miami. What do you think?"

His face and tone express how happy he is about everything. His soft look turned to an intense one, his hand reaching out for her cheek and looking at her deeply without breaking eye contact.

"I can't wait to declare you as my wife in front of this whole world. That day is going to be the most memorable day of my life".

She forgot the things she decided to talk about with him seeing his love-filled eyes. Her heart is not letting her spoil this intense moment. Such moments have never happened before. It's always been her Cinderella dream. Seeing this finally happening, encouraged her to accept it with open arms.

Her breath got faster seeing him leaning for a kiss. Don't know if it's because of nervousness or excitement, but she too leaned forward with excited heat to enjoy a newfound joy in her life. But it's shuttered by a sudden falling sound from the counter. They two jolted from the moment and were shocked to see the whole rack of plates lying on the floor into a million pieces. Aaron quickly checked if Alina got any hurt, thank god nobody got hurt. Soon the waitress apologised for the mistake and started to clean up. Alina stared at it with lost thoughts. It's kind of a passing heating vibe to her. She brushes off the unwanted thoughts, unknown to her, a third pair of eyes looking at them with deadly eyes. Sooner or later he is going to change the whole chapter of her life.

Alina nervously walked around the bridal room. She was so anxious right now. Before she knows what's happening it's already a week passed after their engagement. And today she is getting married to Aaron Knight in front of their families. She feels suffocated with countless thoughts. It's not because of the dress. She was anxious about the aftermath of this wedding. Soon she is going to be Mrs.Knight. officially going to be someone's wife again. She can't control but recall her previous wedding day.

 The day she thought she was going to get the love in her life. But it ended with a tragic ending. But today everything is perfect. She is going to marry the man who loves her, who's ready to cherish her his whole life. All are too perfect to be. But something is missing. She couldn't feel the same excitement and happiness she felt when she got married to Leo. She feels nothing but tension and overthinking. Nothing feels right about this day. She is trying her best to brush off these thoughts. She viewed her appearance in the mirror. No doubt she's looking extremely beautiful in her wedding dress. It fits her body perfectly. She breathed out in a relaxing way and tried to pacify her rushing mind and heart.

"Okay Alina, calm down. There's nothing wrong. You are fine. Everything is going to be fine. You are getting married and it's an awesome day. Don't panic. Easy easy".

She is talking to herself and feeling a little better after it. She saw the clock, it was time for her to walk down the aisle. There any time her parents may come up to get her. She did a little touch on her face and tried to get a smile on her face. Now after countless thoughts, only one thought is running currently. Making this day perfect in every way. She doesn't want any mistakes to take place. She quickly turned back hearing the door opening sound expecting her father to show up. Instead, she was confused seeing one of the staff. She respectfully bowed to her.

"Miss.Brooke it's almost time to go down there. I was sent by your makeup artist to do a little touch-up on you before you leave".

"But where's a miss? rose? Why wasn't she here?"

"she got occupied with the bridesmaids. She sent me here for quick work".

Alina nodded at her with little dissatisfaction. Isn't she responsible for her looks? Anyway, it's just a touch-up. She sat on a chair and let her do the touch-up. She did it with a smiley face. As soon as the finishing touches, she sprayed the makeup fixer. Knowing it was done, she tried to get up. But quickly fell back on the chair feeling dizzy all of a sudden. She couldn't see clearly. Her throat went dry, and her vision slowly got darker. Soon she passed out without her control. Seeing her fallen state. That woman called someone.

"Boys, it's done. Came inside".

Soon after the call, a few men wearing black suits entered her room looking all clean and neat. They protectively wrapped her with a blanket and left the room without leaving any traces behind. They board her into a black SUV and one of the fella makes a call driving away.

"Boss, all clear. We are on the way".
