Chapter 3

The dark, deserted alley became bright when a Rolls-Royce, escorted by several Lamborghinis, stopped before a shabbily dressed man.

A well-built man in a black suit stepped carefully out of the lead car. He escorted a beautiful woman out of the Rolls-Royce. The woman scanned her surroundings, her gaze falling on a shabbily dressed young man behind her. That man was none other than Gama. Full name: Gama Immanuel Featherston, the grandson of E'Ador's wealthiest noble, Featherston Grub.

He survived for six years to avoid his family, trying to live independently and not depend on the family who had expelled him and his mother six years ago. The grief of losing her beloved husband made the mother unable to survive and choose her own path.

And now she decided to return for the happiness of the only person she loved in this world, Sierra.

"Young Master, I am coming. Are you sure of your decision?" Lopiuy made a critical sound, confirming the decision he had heard earlier.

"Yes, I am," Gama replied.

"This is good news, Young Master. Then let's go home."

"No!"

The firm question startled Lopiuy. The beautiful woman looked at Gama with a questioning gaze, waiting for further explanation.

"I did accept the offer to become your great lord's heir but not to return and live with him. Have you forgotten that he kicked me out? And because of him, I lost my mother!"

The question hurt Lopiuy's heart; although he was not part of the people who had expelled him, he could feel how hard it was to bear all this.

"I'm sorry, young master. I am truly sorry that it happened."

"Why are you apologizing? Are you part of the brand's plan?" Lopiuy shook his head. "Then what are you apologizing for? Those two old fools can't tell right from wrong!" Gama emphasized

Lopiuy wrinkled his forehead. "You mean Grandmaster and my father?" he asked doubtfully.

"Who else, if not them? Do you see anyone else in power in that house?"

Lopiuy again shook his head. "Very well, Young Master. is no big deal. With you accepting to be the heir, that is more than enough. That means the leadership seat is not vacant. Young Master needs to know that Great Master is too old to continue managing the company; it's time for him to rest and enjoy his old age." Lopiuy explained but then looked doubtful before questioning what he wanted to know. "Young Master, what big thing could change your decision?"

Gama gave a cynical look, showing his dislike for Lopiuy's question. "That's none of your business; your job is only to do what I say," he replied.

"Sorry, I was presumptuous. Then what should I do?" Lopiuy asked, showing his readiness to carry out any task.

"Take back the company I started, and don't say I took it back."

"Fine, I'll do it right away, and by tomorrow, the company will have changed its name to yours."

"Do well; I believe you can do everything." Gama was relieved and proud of Lopiuy's performance.

"Then what else?" Lopiuy asked again.

"And I ask you, don't tell anyone I'm back and keep my identity a secret. Do you understand what I mean?"

"Yes, young master, I understand."

"Good, go and tell Grandfather I will return if I manage to catch Father's murderer and punish him accordingly."

"I will do as you say, and my men will also participate in the search for the truth."

Gama was quite happy to hear that; he smiled and invited Lopiuy to leave.

Gama, who had also returned, arrived at Audie's residence. Gama went into his room and observed Sierra working diligently. After pondering for a while, he approached her.

"What do you think of the cooperation agreement that will be negotiated tomorrow? Will it be mutually beneficial for both parties?" Sierra's unexpected question took Gama by surprise. Instead of answering immediately, Gama looked at Sierra gently and lovingly.

Sierra needed clarity. "Why are you just looking at me?" Sierra asked, making Gama realize her actions.

"Sorry, that's not what I meant," she replied nervously. "As for work, never underestimate the value of your efforts. Everything you do is amazing." Gama delivered the compliment while looking at the blushing Sierra.

"Yes, you're right, but not everyone understands that. For example, Grandma. She keeps belittling my abilities and telling me I have no talent." Sierra looked glum.

Gama grasped Sierra's hand soulfully, their eyes locked together. "Don't mind them; they want to bring you down mentally. You have to believe that you can do it!" Gama reassured Sierra passionately.

Gana's words motivated Sierra; she smiled, looking at Gama, who was staring at her.

As their faces came close together, Sierra felt the atmosphere filled with the warmth of love, becoming more intimate and passionate. But the reality differed from what Sierra expected; what Gama said shattered Sierra's hopes.

"I will prepare a ginger drink for you. It will warm your body and benefit your health," Gama said before releasing Sierra's hand and disappointing Sierra.

Sierra sighed, looking down in disappointment. But Sierra didn't take long to realize what had happened and scolded herself.

"How could you be so stupid, Sierra? Did you think Gama would kiss you? Oh no. That's wrong. I think my mind is messed up. I need to find a quiet place to clear my head," Sierra said irritably. She smacked herself before refocusing on her work.
