Regrets

Grace's POV

I tried calling him phone again, but the number was switched off

"Mom when will uncle come back". Bella asked while staring at me with a questioning look that I didn't know what to say to her. I pull her to myself and made her sit on my laps while I gently stroke her hair with care before I spoke up

"Uncle Quan will be back very late, why don't I put you to bed, and then you can see him tomorrow morning". I tried convincing her which worked

"Okay ".she nods her head to me, I smiled at her and stood up from the couch with Bella in my arms. I walk to her room and gently lay her on the bed, and was about telling her bedtime story when I noticed she was already asleep.

I hissed in relief and kissed her forehead before putting off the light and left her room I sat on the couch with my phone in my hand as I kept on staring at the phone to see if I will get a call from her. I checked the time and noticed it was pass 12
