Chapter 18

It was the next morning and I was still in bed. Even though I went to bed early, I still felt tired. The rays of the sun were beaming through my curtains, creating shadows on the wall. The birds were chirping and the light wind coming through the window felt slightly cold yet satisfying.

The guestroom was some distance away from the kitchen but I could smell that breakfast was being made. As I said before, my dad was a really good cook so I was in a way excited to see what he was whipping up.

I sighed as I removed the duvet from my body and got off the bed. I yawned and then headed for the bathroom that was in the room. When I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I chuckled.

I looked like a zombie minus the blood and cuts. My hair was a mess, my eyes were weary, and the color was drained from my face. What I needed was a cold shower to wake me the hell up while bringing me back to reality.

My night was filled with nightmares and discomfort. I could not find sleep until it was three
