Chapter 6: The Scent

I was startled and quickly turned my face away, throwing the clothes to him.

"Put them on!"

I heard Lucian chuckle and the rustling of clothes. After a moment of struggling, Lucian managed to pull on the pants and shirt. His elegant look in the suit from earlier was now utterly disheveled.

I tried to hold my breath and listen for any sounds outside the cave. The rustling of leaves in the wind, the cries of small animals, fortunately, I didn't hear any footsteps of pursuers.

After a moment of struggling, Lucian managed to pull on the pants and shirt. His elegant look in the suit from earlier was now utterly disheveled.I tried to hold my breath and listen for any sounds outside the cave. The rustling of leaves in the wind, the cries of small animals, fortunately, I didn't hear any footsteps of pursuers. It seemed Lucian had truly shaken off those people, but how long we would remain safe was anyone's guess.I glanced at Lucian. He struggled to sit up and leaned against the rock wall wearily.I thought for a moment, then decided to walk over, grab Lucian's hand, and pull him up."I know you're exhausted and in pain, but try to move a little. We should go deeper into the cave."Since it was already dark, the temperature in the forest would drop further, and we couldn't light a fire for fear of b

Chapter 5: Ambushed and on the RunLucian wiped the blood streaming down his face with his hand and grumbled."Damn it! Those people really want to kill me!"He glanced over at me, his eyes momentarily startled when he saw the wound on my body. Lucian seemed very angry. He ran his hand through his hair and spoke quietly."There's no other choice. I never expected the first person to ride on my back would be an Omega."Before I could even understand what he meant, Lucian in front of me crouched down, his body swelling beneath his clothes before transforming into a massive wolf nearly two meters tall with jet-black fur. I stumbled back in shock, my nerves tensing like guitar strings. In my life, I had never seen a wolf so huge and powerful. Was this the noble existence known as a Lycan?Perhaps it was because of his ancient bloodline that even his true form was this terrifying.Seeing this made it even clearer why so many people craved the Lycan bloodline to such an extent. With just th

Chapter 4: The explosion at the masquerade party I meant to open my mouth to refuse, but in the end, I still couldn't say a word. Actually, I didn't want to go to that party. Since no one welcomed my presence anyway, why bother forcing myself into crowded places like that. That masquerade party took place on the third day after the enrollment ceremony. In reality, it was a party for Alphas and Betas to find their destined mates.A noisy and complicated place like that was never where I should have been. But since Lucian had ordered it, I had no choice but to comply, picking out a somewhat nice dress and putting it on. As I combed my hair, I looked at myself in the mirror and silently sighed."Maybe I should show up for a bit, then find some excuse to head back."I walked into the banquet hall with Lucian. Of course, there was no arm-in-arm entrance; Lucian walked ahead while I quietly followed right behind. Once inside, Lucian quickly went over to the most prominent group of Alpha f

Chapter 3: Lycan's ServantI was panting heavily, my tired arms hanging limp and devoid of any strength. So the result was still the same after all, huh?I had tried to the point of exhausting all my strength, but I still couldn't meet the minimum physical requirements for a Beta to become a full-time student.I stood there in silence, thinking to myself."So it's finally over, huh? I'm going to end like this..."Mocking laughter rang out from behind me, malicious glares seemingly piercing into me. I didn't need to look back to imagine what they were saying. The words of ridicule, sarcasm, and comparisons to Ivy, saying I shouldn't have been born into this world. Those were the words I had heard so often since childhood that I knew them by heart. At first, hearing them made me angry, but after a while, I got used to it. Reacting only made them say harsher things, and I was the one who had to endure it anyway. Since nothing was going to change, staying silent was the best choice. So al

Chapter 2: The Lycan Got People's AdmirationHowever, the fierce blow I expected never came. I heard a familiar faint laugh, so I slowly raised my head.It was Ivy Taylor, my twin sister. We were born identical but carried two completely opposite fates. Ivy was like a child chosen by the gods, becoming the strongest Alpha of the Taylor Pack.As for me, I was the weakest Omega in the pack.So pathetic it was hard to even look at!Ivy hated me because I was an insult to her. If I said I wasn't jealous of Ivy, that would be a lie. Why were we born the same, yet only I ended up as such a miserable wreck? But more than jealousy, I wished there were no barriers between us and that we could be a normal pair of sisters.Ivy looked at me with a cold glance and gave a faint mocking smile."You're still as useless as ever, not a single bit of change."I looked up at Ivy, feeling deeply wronged and wanting to say that I was also a victim of everything. But those words eventually got stuck in my t

  • Black Moon Trilogy: Taming A Heart-less Lycan   Chapter 1: The Weakest Omega at Moonlight Academy

Chapter 1: The Weakest Omega at Moonlight Academy"Huff, huff!"My breathing was completely thrown off, my steps no longer had any direction, I could only run frantically forward.Where am I supposed to go now?Why is it only me who has to run? Why is it always me...?I gritted my teeth, a feeling of resentment rising all the way up to my throat. From the moment I was born until now, I have always been running. There was never any choice for me, and I never had the right to choose. The moonlight shone through the treetops above and cast down onto the ground, that beautiful, dazzling light was the thing I hated the most. That faint glow gradually became obscured by the towering trees as I ventured deeper into the forest.I tried to run like an arrow that had been loosed, the leaves scraping against my face with a burning sting and the uneven gravel road digging into the soles of my feet, also painful. But those physical pains were nothing compared to the fear taking hold of my soul at
