“Is that so? That offer is alluring enough…especially since I like ‘everything’ about you.” His hand reached for her face and Larisa flinched when he swiped the loose strands of hair sticking to her wet cheek behind her ear. “But you need to understand that I hate nothing more than a tardy person. I’m always on time…I got here several minutes before 7:00pm…if you were going to bring my boys to visit, you should’ve brought them eleven minutes earlier. You shouldn’t have made me angry…your beautiful face is now ruined with tears and your arm’s bleeding…god, I hope it doesn’t leave a scar.”

He leaned closer, analyzing the nasty wound he created; one she hadn’t even known was there. “I'm glad it’s not deep, and I swear it wasn't intentional, but it's all your fault.”

Larisa nodded, not knowing what else to do. She found it hard to speak, she was scared to a point where even his words were almost incomprehensible. She didn’t know what he was planning to do with her, and anticipation was causing everything, including her heart to shake.

“Speak angel, say something.” His hand cupped her cheek. “You’re so pretty…everything about you…but making me angry could have me destroying that beauty. Don’t ever do it again, okay?”

Larisa nodded again, and he lightly tapped her lips. “I prefer to hear your voice.”

“Yes…” Larisa trembled. “I-I won’t ever do it again.”

“Alright, good.” His arm wrapped around her waist, helping her up, and then he led her over to the bed, sitting her down. “I need to clean up that wound.”

He turned his back, walking towards the chest of drawers in the room and that was when Larisa noticed the tattoo on his back; words written in a foreign language down his spine. She didn’t know what it meant, but she didn’t want to. The only thing she needed to know and understand was that he was a madman. He wasn’t a normal person…how could he blame her for what he did to her?

And how could he try to kill a person for merely being late? He said he wasn’t angry that she told the police; any normal person would’ve been angrier about that. However, he... he wasn’t f*cking normal...! He was a monster... and Larisa would make sure never to anger him again.

She tensed when he turned back to face her, holding a first aid kit that he took from one of the drawers in hand. “I found it…I’m glad.”

He smiled and suddenly Larisa remembered how kind he had looked on TV. He really didn’t look like a thug which was why so many people failed to believe it. His appearance was gentle, his eyes were a beautiful shade of blue, his auburn hair styled in a way that fitted him perfectly, and his lips were even more perfect than hers. He was a gorgeous man, but it was sad that his personality wasn’t as pretty.

He took a seat beside her on the bed, placing the little container between them. “Does it hurt?”

Larisa didn’t answer, for how could it not hurt?

“Larisa…your voice…I told you I like your voice…talk back to me.”

“Y-Yes…it hurts.”

“I’m sorry it hurts, but people only learn their lesson when their mistakes cause them pain.” He took a piece of cotton from the kit, lathering it with alcohol. “It’ll hurt more now…bear it.”

He tapped the cotton against her arm and Larisa whimpered when pain hit her like a brick. It hurt, it hurt so damn bad.

She flinched away from him when he pressed down too hard, and he glared at her. “I said to bear it…it has to be done.”

“Ok..okay…”

And she did as told. She endured the pain until a band-aid was placed over the cut. “All done…does it feel better, Larisa?”

Larisa nodded, glancing up at him. “How do you…how do you even know my name?”

“I did my research…I know everything about you…however, there’s one thing I never got the chance to thoroughly explore…” His hand lifted the hem of her blouse and Larisa quailed when he gripped her hips, pulling her onto his lap. “This body…I was in a rush last night…I didn’t entirely enjoy it. I suppose I can do that now, right?”

No…Larisa shook her head; his touch…Larisa despised everything about it. He had blackmailed her last night, taken her virginity with no mercy. She didn’t want him touching her again…she…sh~

“What happened to giving me your everything? What happened to giving me anything that I want?” He lifted her blouse higher. “Did you lie? I hate liars too. Are you trying to make me angry again?”

“N-No…”

“Then why are you going back on your own words? Do you want to be punished?”

Larisa shook her head once more, this time with more vigor. “No.”

“Then say yes, sweetheart…your body is what I want.”

Larisa looked away from him, tears glistening in her eyes as she nodded her head. He was making it sound as though she had a choice when she obviously didn’t.

“Say it…consent means everything to me.”

“Y…Yes.”

“Good girl.”

“Larisa angel…” He stared down at the watch on his wrist. “You’re eleven minutes late.”Larisa took a shaky step back, pointing at him. “It’s him…I…he’s going to…”Her heart thumped against her chest when he stood to his feet, that taunting smile turning into a sinister smirk. “I thought you said you’d be an hour early, how could you lie to me, little reporter?”He stepped towards her, and the cops stepped aside, freeing his path to her. That was when her heart started to drum with a bit too much vigor, fear was slowly paralyzing her, but still she managed to take shaky steps backwards until her back was against the wall.“You…” Her eyes drifted between the officers. “P-Please…help me…”“You want them to help you? What god awful thing could you be so afraid of?” He grabbed her face, twisting it so she stared only at him. “I’ve been waiting for eleven f*cking minutes, Larisa…don’t you think you deserve to be punished for that?”His hand slipped down her face, sinking painfully deep int

Larisa did just what she told herself she would. When she got home, she sat in front of her computer until it was past 5:00pm. It was then that she went to the bathroom, took a shower and got dressed. It was time to head out. She hadn’t forgotten about the address in the message, however, that wasn’t where she went. Her eyes were red and foggy when she stepped past the door to the police station. She was scared, but this was something she had to do.Wiping the streams of tears that ran down her cheeks, she walked further inside. It hadn’t been until she sat down and went deep in thought that she realized how messed up her life really was. Three years back, she lost her mom and dad in an incident…right as she entered her last year of high school. Because of that, she had worked herself through the remaining terms at a grocery store that was close to her irresponsible and drunkard uncle’s house. He was the only family member willing to take her in and despite being somewhat of a good m

Larisa walked out of the hotel on her shaky legs, her purse which she had found beneath the sheets tucked under her arm as she walked in pure shame out through the exit. She knew she looked like shit, her eyes were red, her hair was a mess. The only thing that looked close to good on her was the red, velvety dress she had found on the bedside table. It wasn’t hers and she wanted nothing from a man as heartless as Julian, but she had no choice but to wear it right now.It was a foolish move, but she needed to get to work. She was already late, her boss would now be angrier at her than he always was. Before stepping out of the room, she had bathed her skin until its porcelain color turned to red. She felt violated, ripped open…she felt as though something important had been stolen from her.But wasn’t that what happened?Larisa pushed her purse higher beneath her arm as she fanned down a cab, shuffling inside as soon as it stopped. She slammed the door shut behind her, and then leaning

Larisa’s eyes shot open, a frightened look on her face as she looked around. She had just woken up from a nightmare, a terrible nightmare! But as she looked around at the same hotel room it had all taken place in, she realized it was not just a nightmare; it was reality.Everything happened in real life…her virginity was taken away from her at the expense of her life. She could feel the ache in her core, the trace of his harsh touch still dragging on against her skin. She could also feel the fear in her heart as she turned to take a look at the left side of the bed where that stranger from hell had laid when he deemed himself done with her last night. She didn’t know how she ended up falling asleep or when he left, but she remembered everything else. Her desperate cries for help, her fingers tearing incessantly into the sheets, the rivers of tears she had shred, the pain and above all, she remembered the hatred that lived in her heart for him.Julian Maverick…he wasn’t just a thug or

  • Blackmailed By The Ruthless Mafia Boss   PROLOGUE~ THE CALL

His hand sunk hard into her back, arching it to perfection. “You should’ve thought twice before you stepped into that club.”Larisa twisted to stare up at him, tears settling in her eyes, but she detested letting them fall. “B-Be gentle at least, it’s my first time.”“Sure, little reporter, however you want it.”Larisa had known it was a bad idea, but her desperation had finally led her to her demise. It was a tip from an anonymous person, information that could’ve not been true, and yet she’d gone ahead and trusted it. It had been wrong of her, but her crave for money was what blinded her eyes. The call came in at the office at approximately 1:00pm in the afternoon, a male voice; rough and husky had asked... ‘Is this reporter Larisa Bronc?’‘Yes...’ Larisa had replied, curiosity clear in her voice as she continued to speak. ‘May I know who’s calling and why?’‘I won’t be disclosing that. Introductions aren’t mandatory, especially when you’re just dropping off a tip. A dangerous one
