“Larisa angel…” He stared down at the watch on his wrist. “You’re eleven minutes late.”

Larisa took a shaky step back, pointing at him. “It’s him…I…he’s going to…”

Her heart thumped against her chest when he stood to his feet, that taunting smile turning into a sinister smirk. “I thought you said you’d be an hour early, how could you lie to me, little reporter?”

He stepped towards her, and the cops stepped aside, freeing his path to her. That was when her heart started to drum with a bit too much vigor, fear was slowly paralyzing her, but still she managed to take shaky steps backwards until her back was against the wall.

“You…” Her eyes drifted between the officers. “P-Please…help me…”

“You want them to help you? What god awful thing could you be so afraid of?” He grabbed her face, twisting it so she stared only at him. “I’ve been waiting for eleven f*cking minutes, Larisa…don’t you think you deserve to be punished for that?”

His hand slipped down her face, sinking painfully deep into her shoulder. “You don’t need to answer that…I’ll thoroughly enjoy putting you in your f*cking place.”

With that, he began hauling her inside the room, using the painful grip he had against her skin. Larisa cried out, her eyes flashing towards the cops that still stood by the doorway. “Help me…help me please…!” she cried, but neither of them made a move.

She was thrown against the floor, her upper arm colliding with the sharp edge of the bed frame. Julian grabbed the door, but before slamming it closed, he chuckled. “Thanks for bringing her in boys…you can now return.”

And then Larisa watched in slow motion as the door closed before her eyes, locking her away from any possible help that might be out there. Her body was shaking, eyes glossed over with tears, muscles paralyzed with fear…He was going to kill her now, wasn’t he?

He’d release that video, watch her suffer from the humiliation, then take her life when it was all done…he’d…he’d…

Larisa shuffled back against the floor as he approached her, fear devouring her whole. She had known it was a bad idea to report him from the beginning. He was rich. He’d be able to get himself out of prison without much effort…however, what she hadn’t seen coming was him being able to use the police even against her.

She didn’t understand how they could be cops and deliberately put her in danger. It was cruel of them, but the only person she could blame for the position she was in now was herself.

She should’ve never gone to that police station, she shouldn’t have believed that there was hope out there for her…for there wasn’t.

She was born for pain, born for sadness…born to be ruined…but…but…

Larisa gasped when her back hit the walls of the hotel room. The enclosed space made her feel impotent. She had nowhere to run to, nobody to cry out to…she was just buried 6ft deep in her own doom.

If Julian could manipulate the police, then didn’t that mean he could kill her and get no punishment for it? Tears from her eyes grazed her cheeks as he stooped before her with an ugly, sinister smile on his lips.

Larisa intertwined her hands beneath her chin, tears continuously running down her cheeks as she began to beg. “P-Please…I’m begging you…I’ll do whatever you want from now on, I’ll listen now…just please let me live. I-I’m sorry…”

The man chuckled, the sound dark and unappealing. “Why are you sorry? If you apologize for the right thing, I’ll let it go…I’ll forgive you, angel.”

“I…I’m sorry for…the police…I’m sorry for telling the police.”

He grabbed beneath her chin, a dark and malicious look appearing in his eyes. “Is that what you’re sorry for?”

His hand glided slowly to her neck, gripping it loosely before moving down to grab onto her blouse collar. He was inducing fear into her, letting her know that he was in complete control of her and this awful situation. “You got it wrong, little reporter…I’m not angry about that…I’m more angry about the fact that you got here late after I told you to come on time!”

He yanked her towards him and her heart chose to not beat. “Please…” She muttered out as she gripped tight to the towel he wore. “P-Please don’t…I…I’m sorry…I’m sorry I’m late…I…sorry.”

“Right…that’s what you should be apologizing for…however, since you got it wrong the first time, I don’t think that’s enough to calm me down. Should I post that video? Should I ruin you? Should I make it so that you can’t even leave your house? Tell me, angel…”

Larisa shook her head despite how dizzy the motion made her feel. “N-No…please don’t.”

He smiled at her, letting go of her shirt. “I shouldn’t? Why not? What will you give me in return?”

Her lips wobbled as she held his white towel even tighter. “My e-everything…I’ll give you anything y-you want.”

“Is that so? That offer is alluring enough…especially since I like ‘everything’ about you.”

“Is that so? That offer is alluring enough…especially since I like ‘everything’ about you.” His hand reached for her face and Larisa flinched when he swiped the loose strands of hair sticking to her wet cheek behind her ear. “But you need to understand that I hate nothing more than a tardy person. I’m always on time…I got here several minutes before 7:00pm…if you were going to bring my boys to visit, you should’ve brought them eleven minutes earlier. You shouldn’t have made me angry…your beautiful face is now ruined with tears and your arm’s bleeding…god, I hope it doesn’t leave a scar.”He leaned closer, analyzing the nasty wound he created; one she hadn’t even known was there. “I'm glad it’s not deep, and I swear it wasn't intentional, but it's all your fault.”Larisa nodded, not knowing what else to do. She found it hard to speak, she was scared to a point where even his words were almost incomprehensible. She didn’t know what he was planning to do with her, and anticipation was ca

Larisa did just what she told herself she would. When she got home, she sat in front of her computer until it was past 5:00pm. It was then that she went to the bathroom, took a shower and got dressed. It was time to head out. She hadn’t forgotten about the address in the message, however, that wasn’t where she went. Her eyes were red and foggy when she stepped past the door to the police station. She was scared, but this was something she had to do.Wiping the streams of tears that ran down her cheeks, she walked further inside. It hadn’t been until she sat down and went deep in thought that she realized how messed up her life really was. Three years back, she lost her mom and dad in an incident…right as she entered her last year of high school. Because of that, she had worked herself through the remaining terms at a grocery store that was close to her irresponsible and drunkard uncle’s house. He was the only family member willing to take her in and despite being somewhat of a good m

Larisa walked out of the hotel on her shaky legs, her purse which she had found beneath the sheets tucked under her arm as she walked in pure shame out through the exit. She knew she looked like shit, her eyes were red, her hair was a mess. The only thing that looked close to good on her was the red, velvety dress she had found on the bedside table. It wasn’t hers and she wanted nothing from a man as heartless as Julian, but she had no choice but to wear it right now.It was a foolish move, but she needed to get to work. She was already late, her boss would now be angrier at her than he always was. Before stepping out of the room, she had bathed her skin until its porcelain color turned to red. She felt violated, ripped open…she felt as though something important had been stolen from her.But wasn’t that what happened?Larisa pushed her purse higher beneath her arm as she fanned down a cab, shuffling inside as soon as it stopped. She slammed the door shut behind her, and then leaning

Larisa’s eyes shot open, a frightened look on her face as she looked around. She had just woken up from a nightmare, a terrible nightmare! But as she looked around at the same hotel room it had all taken place in, she realized it was not just a nightmare; it was reality.Everything happened in real life…her virginity was taken away from her at the expense of her life. She could feel the ache in her core, the trace of his harsh touch still dragging on against her skin. She could also feel the fear in her heart as she turned to take a look at the left side of the bed where that stranger from hell had laid when he deemed himself done with her last night. She didn’t know how she ended up falling asleep or when he left, but she remembered everything else. Her desperate cries for help, her fingers tearing incessantly into the sheets, the rivers of tears she had shred, the pain and above all, she remembered the hatred that lived in her heart for him.Julian Maverick…he wasn’t just a thug or

His hand sunk hard into her back, arching it to perfection. “You should’ve thought twice before you stepped into that club.”Larisa twisted to stare up at him, tears settling in her eyes, but she detested letting them fall. “B-Be gentle at least, it’s my first time.”“Sure, little reporter, however you want it.”Larisa had known it was a bad idea, but her desperation had finally led her to her demise. It was a tip from an anonymous person, information that could’ve not been true, and yet she’d gone ahead and trusted it. It had been wrong of her, but her crave for money was what blinded her eyes. The call came in at the office at approximately 1:00pm in the afternoon, a male voice; rough and husky had asked... ‘Is this reporter Larisa Bronc?’‘Yes...’ Larisa had replied, curiosity clear in her voice as she continued to speak. ‘May I know who’s calling and why?’‘I won’t be disclosing that. Introductions aren’t mandatory, especially when you’re just dropping off a tip. A dangerous one
